A ceremony to open the 2022 provincial program to connect supply-demand of goods and tea-coffee exhibition (Binh Duong Expo 2022) took place at the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City Expo (WTC EXPO) on the afternoon of November 10. The program was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Lee Soek Bong, Deputy Mayor in charge of Daejeon city’s economy - science and technology in South Korea, South Korean business community together with leaders of departments, sectors, localities, associations and enterprises.

Binh Duong Expo 2022 is a trade promotion activity with the participation of departments, units and industries’ associations such as: Electromechanical Association, Woodworking Association, Lacquer and Sculpture Association...This event has also attracted the participation of domestic and foreign enterprises, namely Kumho Tire Company, Cheil Electric Electromechanical Company, foreign localities, including Daejon city, Seoul city’s Gangnam district, Busan city’s Yeongdo district in South Korea together with the Trade Office of the Consul General of Korea in Ho Chi Minh city (KOTRA), the South Korean Business Association in Vietnam (KOCHAM), South Korea's International Cooperation Agency in Vietnam (KOICA).

In addition, "Binh Duong provincial Tea and Coffee Exhibition 2022" is a place for enterprises and experts in the tea and coffee industry to display, introduce and promote their machines, equipment and raw materials. This is also the convergence of 50 leading enterprises in the food and beverage production and processing industry, equipment and machinery of the restaurant and hotel management sector.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dung said that the program to connect the supply and demand of goods was an important annual trade promotion activity of the province with an increasing scale over years. With the motto of "constantly innovating, developing towards professionalism and modernity", the program is becoming an effective trading channel for the local agricultural products, processed foods, handicrafts, typical rural industrial products, OCOP products; helping associations, enterprises, farms, cooperatives, production facilities of Binh Duong and the whole country have more channels to meet, establish and tap domestic and international trade relationships, expand and improve business efficiency at present and in the future. The program also contributes to affirming that Binh Duong is not only a leading province in industry and commerce, but also has an abundant source of consumer goods, produced by a closed process, with the local raw materials, creating complete products, meeting standards and quality, ensuring safety for the health of domestic consumers and gradually reaching out to the world market.
“With all determination and continuous efforts, Binh Duong province's leaders will always create all favorable conditions for Binh Duong Expo 2022 to become an annual series of events, a reliable and attractive destination for investors in and out of the province as well as enterprises from many countries and territories around the world in all fields of exchange and connection to support production and export promotion; thereby encouraging enterprises and entrepreneurs to continue working creatively, creating reputable and quality products and services in the market, contributing to building up a stronger business community and actively contributing to the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province in particular and Vietnam in general in the coming years”, affirmed Mr. Dung.

Do Thi Minh Tram, Deputy Director of the local Department of Industry and Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade said: “This is an activity connecting, developing trade activities, transferring sci-tech advancements and developing supply chains, creating a linkage of 3 sides (suppliers, managers and distributors); thereby having a longer-term strategy. Besides, the program has seminars on technology transfer and market development, which are very important highlights. All make the expansion of domestic and foreign distribution channels, promoting the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using sustainable Vietnamese products".
Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade said that 2022 is the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea. Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant units to organize many economic, cultural and sports exchange activities to celebrate the above diplomatic milestone through parallel events, comprising of the Meet Korea event with the participation of nearly 100 enterprises, organizations, trade and investment partners from South Korea. Enterprises participating in the Binh Duong Expo 2022 will have the opportunity to contact, connect, trade and develop business activities with many domestic and foreign enterprises, so associations and enterprises are excited to receive and actively participate in. “I hope that after the series of events at Binh Duong Expo 2022, participating enterprises will have the opportunity to sign contracts, find partners and develop business activities”, said Mrs. Duyen.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lee Soek Bong hoped that after the good foundations established, Binh Duong and Korean enterprises will continue connecting, developing and raising the level of economic, scientific and technological relations and fly further in the future.
