
Phu Loi prison relic attracts numerous tourists.
Over the past years, to conserve historic and revolutionary relics and reappear image of struggles of soldiers and people during the resistance wars, Binh Duong ratified many projects of building and preseving historic relics. Until now, progress of these works have been basically completed, many works have created new rebound for local tourism industry.
Completing many works
Over the past years, Binh Duong has focused on building, preserving historic relics. Many works have been put into operation. They include Phu Loi Prison in Phu Loi ward, Thu Dau Mot city; Kien An forest relic in An Lap commune, Dau Tieng district with the total investment capital of VND25bn. Especially, Đ war-zone memorial area in Dat Cuoc commune, North Tan Uyen district has the total investment capital of over VND123bn. The project includes 9 items such as traditional house located on an area of 360sqm, central statue with the height of 30 meters and more.
A rep of the provincial management board of investment and construction said that the project has completed items such as entrance gate, guest house, memorial stele, traditional house, Huynh Van Nghe poetic garden, parking lot and more. The project will be finalized in this year, according to the provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No.1478/QĐ-UBND.
Besides, basic items of project of Iron Triangle tunnel in An Tay commune, Ben Cat town have been completed. It is slated that the project would be fulfilled in June, 2015.
Le Phan Thuan, vice director of the provincial department of Culture, Sport and Tourism said that Binh Duong now focuses on hastening progress of building, preserving historic works to complete on time.
Developing tourism
Binh Duong now has 50 recognized relics, 12 of which are national relics and 38 under provincial ones. These locations not only preserve local values of culture and history but contribute to attract tourists, making up new rebound for Binh Duong tourism industry in the new period.
Le Phan Thuan said that building and conservation of Kien An forest historic relic is to introduce revolutionary relics of ancestors and patriots to tourists and young generations as well as preserve local ecological system.
In terms of Phu Loi prison relic welcomed more than 50,000 tourists in the past year.
Apart from educating tradition for young generations, investment, building and preservation of historic relics contribute to attract tourists for the sake of developing local tourism industry.
