Thanh Long Transport, Construction and Bridge Cooperative constructs ground leveling and infrastructure for Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park
Thanks to the dynamism and sensitivity to the market, the Thanh Long Transport, Construction and Bridge Cooperative of Quarter 4, My Phuoc ward, Ben Cat town took advantage of the right time to invest in project construction for Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park to rise up. Established in 2003, mainly doing mechanical construction, leveling, bridges and roads, transporting goods by road, the cooperative was not of much capital but mainly invested in used cars and machinery. After a long time of development efforts, up to now, with the increasing workload, the cooperative has boldly invested in many new cars for higher productivity and work efficiency. Currently, the cooperative mainly constructs works in Binh Phuoc province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dien, Chairman of Thanh Long Transport, Construction and Bridge Cooperative, said: “In order to improve operational efficiency, the cooperative maintains a strong partnership with existing units as well as with existing units. looking for new partners. In addition, the cooperative continues to invest in converting modern and high-performance construction machinery technology to serve the production and business process. Thereby, contributing to better care for the spiritual life of members and employees.”
Looking back at the operation process, in 2021, the prolonged and complicated situation of the COVID-19 epidemic has negatively affected economic sectors and fields. In the field of construction, before many difficulties, cooperatives have temporarily suspended operations for a long time due to the implementation of social distancing and the works are located in the blockade areas of the localities. The Thanh Long Transport, Construction and Bridges Cooperative was also affected. However, with the efforts of the Board of Directors and all members, the cooperative has been able to maintain its operation in the epidemic conditions. From the beginning of 2022, the operation of the cooperative has stabilized. Although the price of gasoline and raw materials increased significantly to affect their revenue, the cooperative still kept the price of the previously signed contract, accepting to reduce profits, and sought for new contracts.
Similar was the case of Cong Minh Transport and Construction Cooperative of Phu Hoa ward in Thu Dau Mot city. In 2021 due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the cooperative tries to implement the "3 on the spot" option to maintain operations and ensure income for employees. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tiep, Director of Cong Minh Cooperative, currently, the actual price of construction materials with the price bracket imposed by the State on the construction price is too different. For example, the actual price of sand and concrete is VND 440,000 a cubic meter but the applicable price is only from VND 300,000 to 350,000. In addition, the current gasoline price is high, causing problems for the supply chain and transporting goods and construction materials to customers. Therefore, the cooperative only tries to deal with close customers, and potential customers depending on the needs. The cooperatives are looking forward to the support of relevant levels and sectors to overcome the above difficulties”.
Through the activities of construction cooperatives, it can be seen that in the first 6 months of 2022, the situation of production and business activities of the collective economic sector in general and construction cooperatives in particular is still facing many drawbacks but still they are trying to overcome to rise. Currently, out of 11 construction cooperatives in the province, 4 have suspended operations. According to the provincial Cooperative Union, implementing solutions to promote collective economic development including construction cooperatives is what the Cooperative Union implemented to support with preferential policies along with training and fostering human resources, supporting credit, science and technology and the market. Besides, construction cooperatives also need to develop a plan to innovate in terms of organization and operation to complete production and business plans and combine services with general business to achieve higher results.
