Contributing to achieving double-digit growth

Tan Uyen city has been making continuous efforts to unlock resources, attract investment and drive economic growth through a series of synchronized solutions. These initiatives serve as a crucial foundation for the locality to achieve its set goals for the year while also contributing to the province’s target of double-digit growth in 2025.

Accelerating from early this year

In the first two months of 2025, business and production activities in Tan Uyen city continued achieving positive results. According to the city’s People's Committee, as of March 5, 2025, total State budget revenue reached VND 1.788 trillion, equivalent to 34% of the province’s target for 2025, or VND 5.2 trillion) and 33% of the city’s council’s target for 2025, or VND 5.403 trillion. In 2025, the city was allocated VND 804.764 billion in public investment capital by provincial People's Committee. To date, it has disbursed VND 92.948 billion, reaching 12% of the set target. Meanwhile, businesses and investors in the city are actively mobilizing resources and expanding their production and business operations. In the first months of the year, workers across the city have enthusiastically resumed production. As of now, many businesses have secured orders through the second quarter of 2025, ensuring stable jobs for their workforce.

Nguyen Thanh Lam, General Director of Lam Viet Joint Stock Company stated that despite unpredictable challenges, the company has continued maintaining stable jobs, improving workers' incomes. In 2025, the company aims at increasing both revenue and profit compared to the previous year. To adapt to the new situation, the company is adopting “green” production as its development strategy and competitive advantage. “We have prepared resources as well as adjusting production lines, training and improving the skills of workers to meet high-value orders as required by partners", said Mr. Viet.

To contribute to the province’s goal of achieving double-digit economic growth in 2025, Tan Uyen city is focusing its efforts on overcoming challenges while joining hands with all-level authorities, sectors and people to adapt to the new context, contributing to fulfilling socio-economic development tasks and plans for 2025, laying the foundation for growth in the following years.

Mobilizing resources

In recent years, Tan Uyen city has consistently set an annual economic growth target of at least 13%. The results show that in 2024 alone, the city's industrial and construction production value increased by 13.19% while the trade and service value grew by 25.11% compared to 2023. In 2025, the city continues setting out an economic growth rate of 13% or higher, with industrial and construction production value rising by 13%, trade and services increasing by 24% and agricultural, forestry and fisheries production growing by 3% compared to 2024.

Additionally, each year, based on the State budget revenue estimates assigned by the province, the city’s People's Committee, reviews and proposes to the city’s Party Executive Committee and People's Council to set a higher revenue target than provincial estimate. Accordingly, in 2025, the city aims at achieving the State budget revenue target of VND 5.2 trillion set by the province and VND 5.403 trillion set by the city’s People's Council. According to leaders of Tan Uyen city, 2025 is expected to remain a challenging year, with increasing demands for growth in both scale and quality amid unpredictable global and domestic economic conditions. Therefore, the city is making every effort to mobilize all available resources, implement flexible strategies, execute key economic and social development plans. Committed to accelerating progress from early thus year, the city is striving to achieve its growth targets for 2025.

The city is currently focusing on finalizing its planning system as a foundation for implementing land use rights auctions and investor selection bidding for areas under the land resource exploitation plan, generating revenue from land to support socio-economic development. Doan Hong Tuoi, Vice Secretary of Tan Uyen city’s Party Committee and Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee stated that the city is prioritizing site clearance for various projects and effectively executing the 2025 public investment capital plan. These efforts contribute to the province’s goal of achieving double-digit economic growth alongside provincial departments, sectors and localities.

“To achieve the socio-economic development goals and targets for 2025, the entire political system of Tan Uyen city is determined to make even greater efforts, focusing on key tasks and solutions to sustain economic growth. The city pays special importance to  such issues as compensation and site clearance, disbursement of public investment capital, digital transformation, administrative procedure reform, high-quality urban planning... Particularly, the city focuses on gaining public and business consensus in urban development, mobilizing all resources to invest in infrastructure, fostering economic growth and improving people's living standards”, said Mr. Tuoi.

In 2025, Tan Uyen city aims at achieving a growth rate of industrial production value by 13% compared to 2024, a 24% increase in trade and service value and creating 6,000 new jobs. The city is focusing on directing the implementation of site clearance for various projects and effectively executing the 2025 public investment capital plan, contributing to the province’s goal of achieving double-digit growth alongside departments, sectors and localities.
