Inspecting, controlling market and improving capacity, knowledge, morality of anti-smuggling cadres, seriously treating cases of faked business, trade fraud and more are the main contents at the inspection session of the provincial Budget-Economy Committee for the provincial department of Trade and Industry on implementation and result of the work on smuggling, trade fraud and faked products control in the first nine months of this year.

Functional agencies find out a violation of intellectual property.
“Matrix” of faked products
Based on results of real inspection at some markets in Thuan An town and Thu Dau Mot city, Nguyen Tam Duong, vice head of the provincial Budget and Economics Committee said that in the past faked and poor quality products were not developed strongly. They only appeared mainly at urban areas. But now, they overwhelm everyone from urban and rural areas. Expensive and cheap products plus famous items are faked sophisticatedly.
Faked and poor quality products are displayed not only at traditional markets but at supermarkets. According to Duong, groups of items such as foodstuff, household utensils, faked products are publicly displayed on the market.
Efforts but…
At the inspection session, delegates raised many problems such as State management responsibility on market control, settlement of no voice business and more.
Explaining issues relating to the sector’s responsibility on inspection and market control, Truong Nhat Nam, head of the provincial market control bureau said that many customers like foreign products and accept to buy faked products with cheaper prices. Besides, business shops use many sophisticated tricks to cheat customers and functional agencies.
He also added that the most concerned thing is that most of enterprises pay less attention to faked and poor quality products. “We face many obstacles in controlling faked and poor quality products, owing to shortage of human resources, expense and more. Meanwhile, tricks of fake and poor quality producers become more complicated. Without increase on human resources and expense assistance, functional agencies will face difficulties in warding off the situation”, Nam added.
Strengthening management role
Trinh Duc Tai, vice head of the provincial Social Culture Committee assessed that the provincial market control sector has over the past years well implemented the work on market control. However, this work remains complicated, so the sector should strengthen inspections.
Besides, it is essential to spur dissemination among people to reach efficiency on control of faked and poor quality products as well as accelerate market inspections and improve quality of anti-smuggling and poor quality product cadres.
