With a desire to have a place to converge, connect trade, help businesses introduce and promote products, and easily find sources of raw materials, machinery and equipment for production, Becamex IDC has cherished a plan to build an international trade center in Binh Duong new city for a long time. That plan came true when the first building named WTC EXPO (International Exhibition Center) in the WTC Binh Duong New City complex (World Trade Center Binh Duong New City) was put into operation and brought about initial good results.
Speaking of WTC Binh Duong New City, it is necessary to reiterate that this is a project in the overall project of Binh Duong smart city development. This project was announced by Provincial People's Committee in collaboration with Becamex IDC and signed a development strategic cooperation agreement in November 2019 with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry; COEX - the unit that owns and operates the largest convention and exhibition centers in Korea and other countries.
The goal of the WTC BDNC formation and development is to connect and help local businesses develop international trade, develop Binh Duong to be a dynamic area with diversified professional services, capable of global trade development, and increase attraction of real estate projects in the region. Once the entire complex of WTC Binh Duong New City is completed and put into operation, it will create a new service ecosystem, attract international businesses, not only become a commercial destination of the southern region, but also a commercial hub of the whole country.
In terms of scale, WTC Binh Duong New City is one of the largest projects in Binh Duong new city, built on an area of 7ha, located in the center of the new city. The overall project is a complex, with many buildings, including an exhibition center, office buildings, financial and banking centers, convention centers, pedestrian streets, shopping areas... Especially, in order to promote the role of interregional spreading and connection, the center was planned to include a station connecting to Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to modern facilities, WTC Binh Duong New City is currently a member of WTCA (World Trade Center Association) - an organization of 330 members from 100 countries, with more than 1 million businesses participation.
Although the infrastructure of the project has not been completely completed and it has not been put into operation for a long time, in the past year alone, WTC Binh Duong New City has successfully organized many events and exhibitions at regional and international levels. The events and exhibitions mentioned above have created a "push" that helps local businesses have an opportunity to meet and interact with investors and business around the world; access to advanced technology, modern machinery and equipment in order to change vision and take appropriate direction.
