Cooling products are in much demand
Items of air-conditioners, electric fans and refrigerators are the most popular ones for customers. Based on a survey on home appliance market at Thu Dau Mot town, prices of cooling products in this year are 10-20% higher than previous years. The ESM09CRA Electrolux air-conditioner for example, is now increasing from VND5.7mil-6.4mil whilst the V09CS LG air-conditioner is increasing from VND6.99mil-8.93mil per item and so on.
Owing to easy usage and power thrift, electric fan is always the strongest consumed product in the hot season. Kinds of electric fans, rechargeable fans, steam fans and so on with famous trademarks such as Mitsubishi, Asia, Chinghai, Alaska… are always the top choice of clients.
Price of kinds of the fans is about VND200,000-800,000 per item. Steam fan is pricing at VND2mil-4mil per item.
Owing to price hike of some items, including home appliance product, some home appliance centers have launched promotional programs such as exemption of installment fee or high-purchase. A staff from Thien Hoa home appliance supermarket, said “the supermarket anticipates situation of weather and high demand on cooling products, so the supermarket prepares goods early. Prices of cooling products such electric fans, air-conditioner and refrigerators in this year will not increase and only jump insignificantly”. This year’s dry season comes earlier than the previous year and is expected to last, so home appliance market is forecasted to start early.
