Cooperation agreement between provincial Customs Department and Lego Group inked

Early April 7, provincial Customs Department signed a cooperation agreement on information mechanism, support and enhancement of customs-enterprise cooperation with Lego Group.

At the event, Preben Elnef, Vice-President cum General Director of Vietnam Lego Manufacturing said that Lego Group officially built a factory in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park III on an area of ​​over 44 hectares, with total investment capital of more than US$1.3 billion. This is Lego Group’s 6th factory worldwide and 2nd in Asia. This project will help strengthen the group’s long-term development strategy in Asia as well as diversifying its supply chain in the region and the world.

Preben Elnef shared that for Lego to operate effectively and comply with the law, the relationship with customs partner is extremely important. Lego wants the relationship between the two sides to be more and more sustainable and effective. Lego is committed to strictly complying with legal regulations, especially on customs procedures.

Under the cooperation agreement, the two sides aim at promoting and creating favorable conditions for trade as well as import-export activities of enterprises to be fair and healthy. The cooperation between the two sides also aims at improving the operational efficiency of the customs authorities, making them transparent and improving the quality of administrative procedures in the field of customs, thereby contributing to opportunely dealing with difficulties in order to support and create favorable conditions for enterprises in the process of carrying out customs procedures.
