Over the past time, Ben Cat town-based cooperatives, cooperative groups worked very effectively, contributing to increasing the local people’s income and improving their lives.
High economic efficiency
Currently, Ben Cat town has a lot of cooperatives and cooperative groups with high economic efficiency, namely the cooperative group of breeding quails in Tan Dinh ward with the annual income of more than VND300million, the cooperative group of growing orchids in An Dien commune with the annual income of more than VND500million, the cooperative of growing mushrooms with the annual income of nearly VND1billion…They also create jobs for many local laborers with the average income of VND5million-VND6million per person per month.
The girdle cake making facility of Nguyen Thanh Rang in Phu An commune with an automatic machinery system brings stable economic efficiency
Along with the support of the local administration, Nguyen Thanh Rang residing in Phu An ward bravely set up Phu an girdle cake cooperative with 10 members. His girdle cake facility can make 50 kg of girdle cake a day, generating jobs for 20 laborers with the average income of VND200,000 per person per day.
The cooperative group of breeding quails in Tan Dinh ward was established in 2002. Every month, members of the cooperative group meet to exchange, share mutual experience for better development. The cooperative group has so far worked very effectively with the annual revenue of VND300million, contributing to increasing members’ income.
Whilst, Thanh Long Transportation-Construction and Civil Engineering Cooperative in My Phuoc ward has also gone on smoothness with the annual income of VND25billion-VND30billion, creating jobs for more than 120 laborers with the average salary of VND7million-VND8million per person per month. Since 2017, the cooperative’s profit has increased from 120% to 160% compared to the previous years. To achieve this result, the cooperative has bravely innovated its production technologies at needs of production-business in the new context.
Sustainable development
Possibly seeing, Ben Cat town-based cooperatives and cooperative groups have taken full advantage of all resources, contributing to shifting the local economic structure, reducing poverty and improving the lives of the local people while creating the premise for new production-business ways towards a market-based production system. All the results done by them are the foundation for the town to boost the development of new-style cooperatives together with other economic sectors.
Huynh Thu Lap, Vice-Chairman of Ben Cat town’s People’s Committee said that the town’s collective economy has faced a lot of difficulties. But, with the flexibility of the local government, many cooperatives herein have continued maintaining and improving their activities. The town has also witnessed the birth of new collective economic models, well tapping their potential at the local demand for development.
For the local cooperatives and cooperative groups getting sustainable development, Mr.Lap added that the town will further mobilize people to actively get involved in collective economic models; monitor over the implementation of support policies on loan, sci-tech, consumption…; attach special importance to enhancing qualifications of State administration officials at all levels on building collective economic models…, thereby contributing to the local sustainable collective economic development.
