Early December 21, Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) organized a conference summing up its activities in 2017 and implementing orientations and tasks for 2018. Mai Hung Dung, the member of Standing Affairs of Provincial Party Committee cum permanent Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee attended and addressed the conference.
In 2017, DONRE has implemented the tasks effectively with rational consultancy for policies and decisions of the Party and laws of the State regarding the construction of programs, plans, tasks, and measures for the assignments. Regarding land recovery, allocation, and renting outside industrial parks, DONRE has administered for 337 projects covering 1,904.57 hectares. Twenty projects have been transformed of land-use purpose at 1.1 time of project quantity and 2.4 times of area quantity higher than in 2016. DONRE has issued land-use right certificates at the rate of 99.8%. DONRE has also tightly managed producers and businesses intentionally release wastes to the environment. Automation of surveillance has helped to control environment pollution while financial assistance has strengthened environment protection activities.
In 2018, DONRE projects to promote compensation, site clearance and resettlement to construct major constructions and projects with close inspection and consultancy for approvals of Provincial People’s Committee regarding the decisions of allocating, leasing, and transforming land-use. DONRE shall also update and correct changes of land records in the province in 2018. The quality management system is in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
Addressing the conference, Mai Hung Dung the member of Standing Affairs of Provincial Party Committee cum permanent Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee appreciated the achievements of DONRE while calling for remedies of administrative procedure shortcomings related to the land and resolution of land-use right certificates remaining and correct working of staffs while enhancing coordinated cooperation of departments in managing natural resources and environment.
On the occasion, DONRE had 2 individuals awarded with merit certificate by Prime Minister for their excellent achievements of activities for the department.
