In the 2015-2020 tenure, Phu Giao district’s Party Committee has set up a breakthrough program in agriculture. Under the program, the district has actively implemented a lot of policies on agriculture while effectively upholding the local potential in hi-tech agricultural development.
Resolution suiting popularity
Nguyen Ngoc Diep residing in Phuoc Vinh township’s quarter 5 in Phu Giao district has successfully realized a model of growing orchids under the hi-tech agricultural trend. Currently, she is the owner of an 8,000-squ.m orchid farm with the annual revenue of billions of dong.

In 2015, Nguyen Van Cuong in An Binh commune’s Ca Na hamlet bravely got involved in a 2,000-squ.m model of growing rock melons with total investment of VND500million. After three years of developing this model, his family can secure the annual income of billions of dong. Noticeably, Kim Long hi-tech agricultural cooperative was established from the model with rock melon as its main product.
Over the past years, under the Resolution of the local Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure, the district’s Farmers’ Associations and its branches have made efforts in supporting farmers to apply sci-tech advancements into production and develop hi-tech agricultural models. The birth of An Thai hi-tech agricultural park in An Thai commune invested by U&I Agricultural Joint Stock Company with 411.75 hectares and the 471-hectare hi-tech milk cow zone of Binh Duong Sugar Joint Stock Company in Tan Hiep and Phuoc Sang communes has expressed the local potential in the field of hi-tech agriculture.
The district has also set up a breakthrough program in agriculture. Accordingly, the district has created favorable conditions for households to strengthen sci-tech application into production; step by step formed up hi-tech agricultural models, large-scale animal husbandry farmsteads under the plan with hi-economic efficiency, generating jobs for laborers.
Further promoting sustainable development momentum
An Thai hi-tech agricultural park and the hi-tech milk cow park are now modern hi-tech agricultural areas of the province. They have actively contributed to the common development of the district.
Many hi-tech agricultural models have so far loomed large across the district. From production requirements and support of authorities at all levels, farmers in the district have bravely applied hi-tech agricultural models, bringing them high economic efficiency.
To Van Dat, Vice-Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that the district has defined the acceleration of hi-tech agricultural production as a right and necessary way. The development aims to change the local plant structure while improving the value of using farming land, thereby increasing income of the local people. As of now, the whole district has had a total of 104 hi-tech agricultural models with high economic efficiency.
To further create a momentum for the local clean agriculture to reach robust growth in the coming time, Mr.Dat added that the district will set up a system for the local agricultural products for better production and consumption. The district will also further realize some effective models; made the overall planning for cultivation-animal husbandry areas; create advantageous conditions for the local farmers to foster animal husbandry-cultivation models under VietGAP standards, ensuring the environment…
