USD 1.8 billion is the target of foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction in Binh Duong in 2021. By the end of the first quarter, there was more than USD 407 million of FDI registered as investments into Binh Duong. Indeed, it is an impressive and very significant number in the context of the still very complicated epidemic in Vietnam as well as in the world. In Binh Duong, for the first time, Covid-19 infection cases appeared in the community, all levels, sectors and localities devoted all efforts to pandemic prevention as the impact of economic growth is inevitable.
Not the first quarter alone, in 2020, Binh Duong's FDI attraction has lso reached more than USD 1.85 billion which was 31% higher than the year plan. Up to now, nearly 4,000 FDI enterprises in the province have been available with a total capital of nearly USD 36 billion as a convincing demonstration to affirm that the investment environment in Binh Duong is very attractive. Along with that, it shows that the province's creative and pioneering way to promote and invite foreign investors has brought about high efficiency. The efficiency in attracting FDI of Binh Duong is really impressive and has been recognized and highly appreciated from ministries, branches to provinces and cities nationwide as well as the business community, experts and international partners. Without "waiting" for investors, by many methods, Binh Duong proactively introduced to its partners and potential investors the advantages and an attractive and favorable investment environment that it has made by its great efforts of building to invite. Through a series of conferences, seminars, and forums locally as well as nationally and internationally held, Binh Duong takes all opportunities to promote and call for investments. On the other hand, Binh Duong also actively introduces the image of the home province to big markets and strong partners for direct marketing. Participating in and becoming a member of the world's major economic organizations and, at the same time, hosting major economic events in the province is an effective investment promotion method that Binh Duong has been doing. And, in the context of Covid-19 epidemic, trade, foreign affairs, and interruptions of international economic activities, Binh Duong continues to make a breakthrough by exploiting digital technology and promoting online investments. In less than 1 month, Binh Duong has held seminars with Japanese, Thai and Chinese investors. Images, attractive investment environment, and favorable conditions for production and business development of Binh Duong continue to get closer to the international investors. Making sustainable steps in creative and breakthrough ways, it is believed that Binh Duong's economy will continue to grow and FDI inflows will be strongly into this land dynamics.
