In 2017, province-based credit activities continued being on rapid increase. The local baking sector fulfilled the set targets with the total outstanding loans reaching more than VND155.15trillion, up 25.5% compared to 2016. Of the total figure, more than VND37.15trillion was for small and medium-sized enterprises, up 19.46%; more than VND23.5trillion for agriculture-rural development, up 12.38%; VND4.2trillion for economic development and new rural construction programs.
The province’s total outstanding loans for housing support loan program under the Resolution No.02 of the Government reached VND790billion with 1,471 borrowers.
According to Vo Dinh Phong, Acting Director of the State Bank of Vietnam’s Binh Duong branch, the above results showed that province-based credit institutions well realized loan support programs for priority fields, helping enterprises and people to get access to loans with reasonable interest rates as oriented while well fulfilling targets and programs set by the Government.
