What did the provincial society of consumer protection do to implement the movement, sir?
Since its inception, the provincial society of consumer protection always well implement its role and mission on disseminating knowledge and information on legal regulations relating to the local work of consumer protection, especially work of holding, receiving denouncement from consumers.
I think that consumers decided success of the movement of using Vietnamese goods, helping enterprises develop stably. Besides, consumers’ purchase power will help local socio-economy develop firmly.
“Vietnamese give priorities to use Vietnamese goods” is the mobilization for all Vietnamese people to promote their patriotism, awareness on independence and national pride in producing and distributing Vietnamese commodities, contributing to enhance production capacity and competition of national economy in the period of industrialization and modernization and international economic integration.
This mobilization also contributes to execute measures of improving economic recession, maintaining domestic economic stability, ensuring sustainable development prior to impacts of the world economic crisis.
The provincial society of consumer protection is the member of the steering board of the mobilization of “Vietnamese give priorities to use Vietnamese goods” so it always protects consumers and economic organizations and enterprises’ rights and interests positively.
How is the concerted work between agencies and units implemented, sir?
Over the past 5 years, the society at all levels combines with mass bodies, localities and organizations to help consumers adequately understand their rights and interests. In the other hand, the society holds wide disseminations to help them learn well about significance and purpose of the mobilization.
Every quarter, we answer interviews or attend in programs of “going with enterprises”, “democratic forum” on mass media to promulgate purpose and requirement and basic contents of the mobilization.
Besides, the society prints 5,000 Q&A books relating to consumers’ rights and interests. The spciety’s branches organize 1,989 disseminations for 55,206 people. In addition, the society combines dissemination work with mobilization of using Vietnamese goods for local people. The society prints 6,000 hand books relating to the mobilization of consumer protection and distributes 512 bulletins of the mobilization.
The society cooperates closely with functional agencies to control quality of goods at fairs. Annually, the society offers many information relating to fake and poor quality commodities to protect consumers and businesses.
The society’s executive board often mobilizes enterprises to promote their responsibility on improving quality and pattern of products and offering incentive programs for consumers.
What will the society do in the coming time, sir?
With the done results, the society will continue upholding its role and responsibility and simultaneously receiving information from consumers to find out wrong information and trade fraud, poor quality products.
Additionally, the society will reflect functional agencies to check and solve violations as well as organize conferences to disseminate consumption knowledge and the Law on Consumer Protection for local residents.
