Dau Tieng: Effectiveness from program “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside”

Over the past time, Dau Tieng district promoted the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” and received enthusiastic response from people with good results.

Ho My Huong, Chairwoman of Dau Tieng district’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) said that the program of “bringing Vietnamese goods to rural region” has created favorable conditions for the local people to get access to hi-quality Vietnamese goods with reasonable price, contributing to ensuring the local social welfare. This is also a chance for the local rural people to use more domestic goods. Especially, organizing mobile market-days of Vietnamese goods has received enthusiastic response from the local people. In fact, the number of the local people visiting these market-days has been increasing.

In 2018, the district’s FFC teamed up with socio-political organizations to mobilize Youth Union members, people to discover and denounce cases making fake products. Upon this, the district’s functional agencies found out 44 wrong cases with a total fine of VND31million.

The district’s FFC also coordinated with the district’s FFC, Department of Industry and Trade to organize a joyful market-day of “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” at Long Hoa commune’s Cultural House within 3 days, absorbing more than 3,000 visitors…

For Vietnamese goods getting pervasion

According to the assessment of the district’s Steering Board of the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, the program of “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” has not only created two-day interaction between enterprises and people in the rural region, but also made a strong change in people’s awareness, contributing to changing their consumption habit towards giving priority to using domestic commodities.

In fact, district-based markets have so far reached a robust increase in the number of domestic goods compared to the previous period. The program of “bringing Vietnamese people to countryside” has also brought the district good results. But, representative of the district’s Division of Economics said that organizing market-days of Vietnamese goods in the district has still faced shortcomings for change.

It is thought that along with developing trade infrastructure facilities and expanding a distribution network of Vietnamese goods in rural areas, localities need to create advantageous conditions for enterprises to foster fixed goods-selling points. Functional agencies also need to tighten control over the market, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign.

So far, 9 out of 12 communes and township of the district have had markets with more than 5,850 individual business households. Over the past time, the district’s FFCs at all levels mobilized owners of the local groceries to trade commodities with clean origin and food safety-hygiene ensured while well realizing monitoring and prevention of fake products…
