After three-year implementation of the national target program on new rural construction, Dau Tieng district’s economic structure has been shifted towards the growth of industrial manufacture and services. So far, there have been 99% and 100% of the local people in use of power and clean water, respectively; the ratio of laborers herein with regular jobs has reached more than 90%; the number of poor households has reduced to 2.14% of total; the average income per capita has gained VND27mln a year.
The whole district now has 8 out of 11 communes fulfilling from 11 to 14 criteria of the new rural construction program. Particularly, Long Tan has met 14 criteria of the program; Minh Tan with 12; Dinh An with 13; Dinh Thanh with 14, Minh Thanh with 11; Thanh Tuyen with 13; Minh Hoa with 12 and Long Hoa with 13. Among them, 5 have completed the program’s criterion on rural market while 7 criteria on electricity, number of poor household, residents’ income, ratio of laborers offered regular jobs, environment, socio-political system, social order-security have been fulfilled by all communes...
Along with fulfilling and approving new rural construction plans for two communes of Minh Hoa and Thanh Tuyen, Dau Tieng district will further call for investment from organizations and enterprises to offer regular jobs for rural laborers to be able to complete the program’s criterion on employment while mobilizing locals to make contributions for completion of the program’s criterion on traffic, contributing to successfully realizing the local targets on new rural construction.
