Ensuring a stable income…
According to TU’s Vice President Mr. Le Van Kim, because their rubber output have been exported to many foreign countries, instead of only one country, the company can sustain its business in the general difficult situation. Moreover, their name is a prestigious brand on the market as well as in-advance contract signing, consumed latex quantity is relatively stable. Although company’s revenue has been influenced by volatile latex price, the company has made an effort to ensure a stable income for workers.
TU has showed their role through deployment of many practical activities. From mid-2013 to early August 2014, TU rewarded hundreds of workers, created playgrounds such as sports, camping, culinary competitions, karaoke, domestic and foreign tours. Total expense was over VND10bln. In addition, TU persuaded workers together with the company to overcome this difficult period.
…so that workers can stay with their job
The company launched production increasing movements in order to motivate staff and workers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, Group 11 TU’s member under Tran Van Luu rubber farm in Dinh An commune, said: “Due to propaganda from TU’s leadership, we understood and are ready to share difficulties with the company. In spite of lower salary, we determine on staying with our job”.
During the first 6 months of this year, the company supported building 6 new houses (VND30mln each house) from welfare fund of the company.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Nga, a worker of the company, said: “My husband passed away 5 years ago, leaving me and 2 children. Thanks to stable salary, our life is much easier. This year, TU supported VND30mln to build a new house for us. Therefore, although the rubber industry is in trouble, I determined to stay with the company”.
Similarly, Ms. Tran Thuy Ngoc Tram, TU member of Thanh An rubber farm, said happily: “I was so happy when receiving VND30mln from the company’s TU to build a new house. The most important thing is that TU still supported workers while the company is facing many difficulties”.
