In the first five months of 2019, Dau Tieng district made efforts in realizing socio-economic development solutions, focused on removing difficulties, promoted business-production, ensured social welfare and maintained national defence and security. Hence, the district’s economic picture continued getting thriving with the growth of more than 14%.
Sectors with high growth
Reportedly, Dau Tieng district’s total production value was estimated at more than VND5.53trillion, up 14.5% compared to the same period last year or 35.3% of the plan. Of these, industrial manufacture and construction reached more than VND2.41trillion, up 21% against the same period or 36.4% of the plan. Trade-services gained more than VND2.05trillion, up 12% over the corresponding period last year or 42.5% of the plan. Agricultural production was more than VND1trillion, up 5.6% against the same period last year or 26.2% of the plan.
The model of concentrated animal husbandry is one of the district’s strong points
The district’s total State budget collection was VND538billion or 50% and 48.8% of the province and local estimates, respectively. The district’s basic targets on credit obtained growth with total mobilized capital at over VND3.92trillion, up 18% compared to the same period last year and total outstanding loans at over VND2.56trillion, up 27% compared to the same period last year.
In recent years, the district’s annual GRDP growth has reached around 14%. The district’s economic structure has been shifted towards the gradual increase of the proportion of industrial-trade and service sectors. The average income of the local people has reached more than VND55million per person per year…
Over the past months, the district also spent more than VND21billion on basic construction, or 12.8% of the year’s plan. The district bent on overseeing and hastening the progress of construction of works on schedule with quality ensured.
Industrial manufacture further growing up
During the period, Dau Tieng district has absorbed a lot of great investors. The whole district is now home to 339 enterprises and 32 home industrial facilities, generating jobs for more than 13,200 laborers. District-based Thanh An industrial compound has so far worked very stably, creating jobs for more than 1,000 laborers.
To further promote the local industrial manufacture, the district has supported the investor of An Lap industrial compound to soon fulfill investment procedures; continued coordinating with functional agencies to implement the expanded Bau Bang industrial park in Long Tan commune with 969 hectares. The district has also just sent a document on the new supplementary adjustment for 6 industrial compounds, namely Thanh A 1, 2, 3, Dinh Hiep 1, 2 and An Lap 2 into the local plan to provincial Department of Industry and Trade to consider and then submit it into provincial People’s Committee for approval. This is seen as a major lever for the local socio-economic development in the near future.
Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that over the past time, the district constantly created favorable conditions for investors to realize their projects. From now to 2020, the district will attach special importance to industrial development in association with services and rural industry, aiming to create a motivation for the local rural agricultural industrialization and modernization proccess…
Noticeably, the district took fruits in planning, urban management, traffic and basic construction over the past time. The district has continued making infrastructure investment under the local Party Committee’s Program No.19 on urban development. Till now, there have been more than 95% of district-level streets covered with asphalt and 100% of commune-level streets upgraded with gravel, step by step changing the local image.
The district will also concentrate on hi-tech agricultural models in association with ecotourism development and new-style rural construction.
