Since its reestablishment in 1999, Dau Tieng district has constantly upheld internal forces and aroused existing potentialities, step by step promoting the local economy with the annual growth of more than 14%.
Well upholding advantages
Agriculture is seen as a main factor for Dau Tieng district’s socio-economic development. For this, the district has so far perfected the planning of concentrated agricultural specialized areas while boosting infrastructure construction to serve the local urban-economic development and people’s life. The district has completed thousands of rural traffic and urban rejuvenation works. There have been 100% of inter-communal roads covered by asphalt, contributing to the local socio-economic development…

Under the Resolution of the local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, the district has gained vigorous economic development steps with total production value at more than VND6.02trillion. The whole district has so far absorbed 339 enterprises. Along with this, the district has continued expanding Thanh An industrial compound by around 30 hectares invested An Duong Floor Plank Co.Ltd., absorbing around 1,000 laborers. The district has also implemented a plan on expanding Bau Bang industrial park by 9,69 hectares in Tan Long commune while expanding An Dien industrial park of phase 3 by 381.21 hectares in An Lap and Thanh Tuyen communes…The district’s economic development has contributed to helping the local people reach the annual average income of VND55million. The district has also developed many models with hi-economic efficiency…
Agriculture accounts for nearly 35% of the district’s economic structure, so it plays an important role in the local economic development. The district is now home to concentrated agricultural models with hi-economic efficiency, creating stable jobs for thousands of rural laborers. In terms of trade-service, along with diversifying business scopes, the district has attached special importance to market stabilization and trade promotion activities, including the campaign of “bringing Vietnamese goods to rural region”. The district has also implemented a target on ecotourism development in Cau mountain-Dau Tieng reservoir, contributing to the local tourism development.
New rural hallmark
One of highlights done by Dau Tieng district over the past years was the result of implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction. Till now, all 11 communes of the district have been recognized as new rural ones.
Under the program, the district over the past time upgraded more than 750 roads with a total length of nearly 985 kilometers. The average income of people in rural new communes has till now reached nearly VND55million, beyond the set level of the district’s People’s Council. The rate of the local poor households has reduced to 0.96% under the province’s poverty line. Noticeably, the district’s total capital mobilized for new rural construction in the period of 2011-2017 was more than VND7.07trillion. With the capital amount, many works were built, making the local rural image get thriving.
To reach the annual economic growth target of 10% under the Resolution of the local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, the district has focused on taking solutions in a synchronous way. Particularly, the district will continue upholding the local advantages in order to get breakthrough programs in the shift of the local economic structure; strengthen infrastructure investment, creating a motivation for the local trade-service, tourism and industrial production. The district will also further attach special importance to improving agricultural production value; develop human resources, generate jobs for rural laborers…
Although facing obstacles, with high determination of the local Party, government and people, it is sure that Dau Tieng heroic homeland will continue flying further.
