Dau Tieng district has always paid attention to industrial and home industrial development. The whole district has so far absorbed many domestic and FDI projects in industrial manufacture, thereby creating jobs with stable income for the local laborers and significantly contributing to the shift of the local economic structure.
Industry, industry home with advantages for development
So far, Dau Tieng district has lured 360 enterprises and most of them have worked very effectively. The wholly foreign-owned Phu Dinh Home Furniture Co.Ltd. is a typical example for this. On average, the company exports nearly 30 containers of products to European market every month. The company also generates jobs for more than 1,230 laborers.

Along with industrial development, the district has created favorable conditions for the local home industrial evolution. The district is now home to home industrial facilities stably operating in woodwork and rubber latex processing.
The district has always simplified administrative procedures, improved the effectiveness and quality of State administration on planning, land, construction order, environmental protection…The district has also maintained and expanded services on the “one-door system” in dealing with administrative procedures. Thanks to solutions on economic development well realized, the district’s rate of poor households under the province’s poverty line has till now reduced to 1.98%...
Sustainable industrial development
The district has to date fulfilled auction for land plots at Minh Tan and Long Tan markets. Along with this, the district has advocated investors to implement construction of An Lap industrial compound with 108.3 hectares and the expanded An Dien industrial park for the phase 3 with 381.21 hectares in An Lap and Thang Tuyen communes.
In addition, the district has perfected documents supplementing 7 new industrial compounds into the province’s plan. The district is setting up a project on technical infrastructure works and calling for investment from enterprises. As a result, there is an enterprise making procedures for investment herein.
Nguyen Phuong Linh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Dau Tieng district’s Party Committee and Chairman of the district’s People’s Council said that the district will further uphold the local strong points in terms of labor, land, natural resources to absorb more investors, aiming to foster industries and create jobs with stable income for laborers. In 2019, the district will strive to reach more than VND5.44trillion in construction-industrial manufacture value, up 22% compared to that of 2018.
Moreover, the district will bend on modern and sustainable industrial development; absorb hi-tech projects that are environmentally friendly with products in line with the local resources and advantages in each period. The district will further call for reasonable and effective urban development-investment to promote services, thereby creating favorable conditions for the local industrial compounds to lure investors…The district will also foster craft villages in association with tourism development, new-style rural construction…
In Q1, 2019, the district’s industrial production value was more than VND3.47trillion, up 13.9% compared to the same period last year or 22.4% of the year’s plan. Of these, construction-industrial production value was more than VND1.53trillion, up 18.5% over the corresponding period last year or 23.07% of the year’s plan.
