To make a breakthrough in industrial manufacture, the district’s Party Committee has set up a target of strengthening the shift of the local economic structure towards the growth of industrial manufacture-construction and trade-services in association with boosting the restructuring of agriculture towards hi-tech and urban agricultural models. As a result, the district’s economy over the past seven months reached a 14% growth compared to the same period last year. The district’s industrial manufacture and construction value was more than VND3.35trillion while trade-services gained more than VND3.05trillion.
Along with effectively realizing the Government’s Resolution No.35/NQ-CP dated May 16, 2016 on supporting, developing enterprises till 2020, the district has always created favorable conditions for investors to implement the An Lap industrial park project, the expanded Bau Bang industrial park project in Long Tan commune with 969 hectares and the expanded An Dien industrial park project for the phase 3 with 381.21 hectares. So far, the whole district has had a total of 364 enterprises, 17 cooperatives, 6 supermarkets and 6 credit institutions’ branches.
Well tapping advantages
The district is now home to many industrial home facilities reaching robust development. They are specialized in processing rubber timber and latex products. Over the past time, the district focused on simplifying administrative procedures, aiming to create advantageous conditions for the local people and enterprises to obtain stable economic development…This has contributed to helping the district’s industrial production value achieve the annual growth of over 20%, reducing the rate of poor households under the province’s poverty line so far to 1.06%.
Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that defining investment attraction as a major factor for economic development, so the district has strengthened administrative reform, continued mobilizing resources for traffic infrastructure development to ensure connectivity with localities in and out of the province. The district has also attached special importance to attracting investment projects with the linkage between domestic enterprises and locals.
In the coming time, the district will further uphold its advantages in terms of workforce, land, natural resources, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to make long-term development herein. This will help the district obtain the shift of the local economic structure in the right direction, associate the development of industrial compounds, craft villages, tourism sites with synchronous infrastructure construction, ensuring sustainable environmental hygiene.
Particularly, the district will soon tap Cau mountain ecotourism site; promote sustainable and modern industrial development; absorb hi-tech projects; foster industries, products in line with the local resources and advantages in each period.
