In recent years, investors have come to Dau Tieng district in search of cooperative opportunities in the fields of industrial production, agriculture and tourism. Together with the local advantages, the district has advised provincial People’s Committee on promulgating policies, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to make investment, contributing to the local development.
Industrial manufacture gets thriving
Under the Resolution of the local 4th Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, Dau Tieng district has boosted the shift of the local economic structure towards the growth of industrial manufacture-construction and trade-services in association with strengthening the restructuring of agriculture towards hi-tech and urban agricultural models.

In 2018 alone, the district has made efforts in taking solutions on socio-economic development; focused on removing difficulties, promoting production-business, ensuring social welfare and national defence-security. All have helped the district’s economy further get thriving with the growth of 14% compared to the previous year. The district’s value of industrial production-construction is estimated at more than VND5.44trillion, up 22% against 2017.
The district’s People’s Committee has continued effectively implementing the Government’s Resolution No.35/NQ-CP dated May 16, 2016 on supporting and developing enterprises till 2020. In addition, the district has further impulsed the implementation of the An Lap industrial compound project, the expanded Bau Bang industrial park in Long Tan commune with 108.3 hectares and the expanded An Dien industrial park for the phase 3 with 381.21 hectares in An Lap and Thanh Tuyen communes.
Towards sustainable development
The whole district now has 354 enterprises, up 67 compared to 2017. Most of them have worked very effectively. The wholly foreign-invested Phu Dinh Home Furniture Co.Ltd. is a typical example for this. On average, the company exports nearly 30 containers of products to European market every month. It has so far generated jobs for more than 1,230 laborers…
Possible seeing, the district’s good implementation of solutions on economic development has helped decrease the rate of the local poor households under the province’s poverty line to 0.97%. Nguyen Manh Hong, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that investment attraction is seen as a vital factor for sustainable development. That’s reason why the district focused on reforming administrative procedures, facilitating enterprises’ development; continued mobilizing resources to make investment in traffic infrastructure, ensuring synchrony and connectivity with localities in and out of the province over the past time. The district also attached special importance to absorbing projects on production, making the linkage between enterprises and people, thereby creating the foundation for sustainable development…
For sustainable development, the district will continue effectively implementing the set solutions in the local socio-economic development plan for the 2015-2020 tenure. The district will also concentrate on sustainable and modern industrial development; lure hi-tech and environmentally friendly projects; promote industries, products in line with the local advantages in each period. The district is striving to bring the proportion of industrial manufacture-construction in the local economic structure till 2020 to 36%...
