Under the Resolution of the 4th local Party congress for the period of 2015-2020, Dau Tieng district has accelerated the shift of economic structure towards the growth of industrial production-construction and trade-services in association with strengthening restructuring of agricultural sector with hi-tech and urban agricultural models.
Over the past time, Dau Tieng district was proactive to take solutions helping enterprises surmount obstacles and promote their production-business activities, contributing to the local common development. The district’s industrial production value last year was estimated at more than VND4.46trillion, up 26% compared to 2016. The whole district has to date had a total of 325 enterprises in operation, up 64 against the corresponding period last year. They have offered jobs to more than 3.5000 laborers.
The district has also created advantageous conditions for Thanh An Industrial Compound (IC) to work stably. Invested by Phu Dinh Interior Furniture Co.Ltd., the IC has so far generated jobs for 1,200 laborers. The remaining land of the IC is hired by An Duong Wood Plank Co.Ltd. to implement its project. Once being completed, the project is expected to create jobs for around 1,000 laborers. The district has also facilitated small and medium-sized enterprises’ development…All have contributed to the local stable industrial development with the annual growth of more than 20%. The rate of the local poor households has so far reduced to 0.96%.
Nguyen Manh Hong, Chairman of Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee affirmed that along with creating favorable conditions for enterprises to work, the district has always paid attention to people’s legitimate rights and interests. Particularly, apart from the State’s support policies, the district’s People’s Committee has advised provincial People’s Committee on promulgating special policies to support people…Upon this, the district’s policies have always received high consensus among people.
Amid the country’s economy with wide and deep integration in the world, the district will continue effectively taking the set solutions in the local socio-economic development plan for the period of 2015-2020. Accordingly, the district will focus on modern and sustainable industrial development; absorb hi-tech and environmentally friendly projects; foster industries, products in line with the local resources and advantages in each period. The district will also attach special importance to promoting industrial production in association with services and rural industrial development, creating a motivation for the local process of rural industrialization and modernization, promoting the local urbanization process with the proportion of industrial production-construction by 2020 amounting to 36%...
