To carry out the task of start-up support, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) organized 3 training courses on start-up knowledge for civil servants of departments, sectors in charge of managing and formulating policies to support the development of start-up ecosystem, Youth Union, Women's Union officials, lecturers in educational institutions.
DOST also cooperated with relevant agencies to complete the procedures for infrastructure repair of the project for the establishment of Community Initiatives and Start-up Assistance Center. It is expected that the center would come into operation in 2019 and be managed by a unit under DOST based on the mobilization and linkage with relevant stakeholders in the innovative start-up eco-system and programs developed by DOST.
In addition, DOST also drafted the project for the establishment of Fablab at Thu Dau Mot University and Vietnam-Singapore College; Draft Resolution on allocation of state investment fund to creative start-ups; Draft Resolution on some support levels for creative start-ups in the province; Draft of the project on training and fostering the capacity of creative start-ups for 2019-2020 period... The drafts are expected to be submitted to Provincial People's Committee by the end of 2018.
