We had a chance to meet Luu Tri, Director of Nghe Nang Co. in Ha Noi on one day in early September. He was the only representative of Binh Duong together with 99 other young entrepreneurs nationwide to attend a ceremony to present the 2014 “Red Star” Award held in Ha Noi on August 31.
Different in technology
Luu Tri was born in a poor family in HCM city. When being at the age of 14, he had to seek jobs to cover his daily needs. His learning also faced difficulties. He temporarily gave up his dream of being a doctor in order to learn a skill regarding electricity from an acquaintance. He also grown up with this skill.
He had a chance to affirm his products when he agreed to research and provide industrial fans for a Taiwanese director who came to Vietnam for a survey to build Pon Cheng factory in HCM city’s Tan Binh ward.

Nghe Nang Co. has been able to firmly stand on the market, thanks to its efforts in researching and creating new products, technologies.
From his passion in creating new technologies, Luu Tri completed his order with the Taiwanese director. Following the first success, he decided to set up Nghe Nang Co. And till now, Nghe Nang has become one of Vietnam’s top providers of industrial fans. The company has also developed four subsidiaries, including one in Myanmar, two in Ha Noi and Da Nang.
Nghe Nang Co. was only a small factory in HCM city’s Binh Chanh district in the initial period and then it moved to Binh Duong’s Di An town. The company has so far had a total of hundreds of laborers with the annual capacity of thousands of various industrial fans, helping it secure the annual income of more than VND100bln. Its products have also been exported to countries in the region.
Noticeably, the company has constantly got involved in technological innovation and generated products at clients’ requirement. This is also the key to the success of the company.
Enterprising
Nghe Nang Co. decided to established a group responsible for researching and making exhaust fans in 2017. With neat design and reasonable price, they were quickly accepted by clients.
Till 2011, the company bravely got additional VND2bln in loan from the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development to automate its production lines, thereby raising the localization rate of products to 93%. Hence, there is a surge in the capacity of the company. The company’s total turnover in the first half of 2014 increased by 150% compared to 2013. So far, the company has also expanded its consumption market to countries in the Southeast and East Asian regions.
Possibly speaking, Luu Tri is a creative entrepreneur full of ambitions. This has contributed to creating a trade mark for Nghe Nang Co. today. He is among Binh Duong’s young entrepreneurs making contributions to the society.
According to Tran Thanh Trong, Chairman of Bình Dương Mechanical Electrical Association, Tri is always enterprising and has a responsibility to the society. After a series of reportages regarding national sea and islands named “To quoc ben bo song”, Luu Tri was the first person coming to Binh Duong Daily to support money for Vietnamese fishermen and fisheries surveillance forces in defending national sovereignty over sea and islands.
