After over 3 years of building, Binh Duong New City has been thus far formed up. Herein, the provincial administration center has been put into operation, contributing to create a strong spread and positive impact on local socio-economic development.

A synchronous and modern infrastructure facility

Infrastructure facilities at Binh Duong New City are very eco-friendly. This city now has adequately items of park, industrial parks, trade streets, hotels, convention and exhibition center, banks and more. These conveniences show up a strong development of this young city. At present, many foreign corporations such as Mapletree Singapore, KinderWorld-Singapore School and more have invested in this city. Notably, Tokyu Corporation of Japan launches a US$1.2bil Becamex Tokyu urban project.

The Binh Duong New City’s highlighted thing lies in the provincial administration center put into operation in the past February. This is a working office for agencies, authorities, departments and sectors and is an important factor in strongly spurring activities of economy, international exchange.

Along with completing central routes and main roads leading to Binh Duong New City such as Hung Vuong, Ly Thai To, Dong Khoi, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and more, Becamex IDC Corp – the investor of building Binh Duong New City project – has built roads linking with the new city. These roads include Pham Ngoc Thach, My Phuoc-Tan Van and among others.

Nguyen Van Hung, general director of Becamex IDC said that Binh Duong New City has prospect of development on the base of attaching to the Southern key economic zone. This is a land offering a friendly living space and advantaged business environment and more. These elements are advantages to lure many investment sources from foreign nations and become important motivations for local development in the coming time.

Breakthroughs

Foundation and development of Binh Duong New City and birth of the provincial administration center are goals concretized to turn Binh Duong into an industrial city by 2020. Until now, Binh Duong New City has gradually implemented its orientation of sustainably developing industry, service and urban areas.

Notably, construction of Binh Duong New City does not use the State budget. The local administration always manages to seek out scientific measures and new ways to promote its advantages.

At the commencement ceremony of Binh Duong Administration Center held on Feb. 20, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that this was an important work for Binh Duong province’s rapid and sustainable development. The Prime Minister applauded the local results on building and developing this new city.

The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung said that developing Binh Duong New City and putting the provincial administration center into operation will offer favorable conditions for the province to urge foreign investment projects. This will spur development of industry, service, and urban area as well as help Binh Duong become the first class urban area by 2020.
