Trade and service develop constantly
Over the past 5 years (2006-2010), thanks to effort and unity of the entire party and people, local socio-economy has reached crucial results on all areas.
According to Nguyen Quang Hoa, general director of Thien Nam Hoa trade-service Company said that Binh Duong economy has been an attractive destination for local and foreign investors. With advantages of economy and quality of living, rapid increase on trade and service is an essential factor.
To encourage entrepreneurs to develop trade and service, the local administration has issued preferential policies on land, manpower training, infrastructure facility and so on for investors. Tang Thi Cuc, general director of HPT Plaza in Thuan An town, said “Thanks to support from local leaders, we have inaugurated Hong Phu trade center since Sept. 2011. In the future, we will perfect other items to meet clients’ demands”.
Over the past 5 years, trade centers in the locality have been constantly developed both quantity and quality. Many markets have been upgraded and into operation. In the end of 2011, the entire province had 86 markets with 9,800 stalls. Aside from traditional markets, the locality has had 7 trade centers and 10 supermarkets.
At present, many projects of supermarkets and trade centers have been under construction. They include Phu Cuong, Goucoland, Big C, Lotte Mart and so on.
New prospects
Birth of markets, supermarkets and trade centers as well as modern distribution models has helped the locality meet customers’ civilized consumption demand. However, network of markets, supermarkets and trade centers is in slow development compared to planning.
Therefore, the locality strives to develop 72 markets, 13 supermarkets and 31 trade centers by 2020. The province’s basic goal is to ensure stability in goods market by 2015.
With breakthroughs of hi-quality service development, Binh Duong will uphold its role as one of dynamic satellites of the whole country to spur local socio-economic growth.
