In 2018, Di An town’s socio-economic situation continued reaching stable development. The town gained and surpassed most targets on industrial manufacture, total retail sales revenue of commodities and services, State budget collection-spending, meeting the local demand for socio-economic development and ensuring the local national defence-security. All will be the foundation for the town’s development in 2019 towards a civilized and modern city.

In 2018, Di An town’s industrial production value was estimated at more than VND89.19trillion, up 10.1% compared to 2017 or 100.09% of the year’s plan. The town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was more than VND67.7trillion, up 35.1% against 2017 or 100.038% of the year’s plan. The town’s agricultural production value was more than VND23billion, up 0.02 over 2017 or 100.2% of the year’s plan. The town’s State budget collection was more than VND3.4trillion while State budget spending was more than VND1.22trillion.

The town will also continue tapping the local potential for socio-economic development, well realize policies on social welfare, maintain national defence-security, increase the society’s consensus. For industrial production, the town will continue creating favorable conditions for enterprises to improve their production technologies for better development. The town will also attach special importance to promoting services and auxiliary industries at town-based industrial parks and compounds.
Regarding trade-services, the town will further implement the local Party Committee’s Action Program No.08-Ctr/TU dated July 11, 2016 on developing trade-services with high quality in association with civilized-modern urban and industrial development for the period of 2016-2020, vision to 2030; continue well realizing market control, especially the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019.
