High growth
The year 2020 has particularly important meaning, is the crucial year determining the completion of goals of all-level Party Resolutions (tenure 2015-2020). At the beginning of the year, Di An City set the objective of continuing to strongly innovate thinking, seize opportunities, accelerate growth, actively transform its economic structure to raise the proportion, quality, efficiency of services; enhance administrative reform, investment attraction, improve production capacity, efficiency and competitiveness, create new driving force for development.
Along with economic growth of the province, the economy of Di An City over recent years continued to grow stably. As a locality with fast rate of industrial and urban development, the value of industrial production increased by 10.54%/ years; commerce-service value gained average increase of 36.4%, economic structure of Di An City shifted towards industry-trade, service and agriculture.
In 2019, the value of industrial production - commerce service - agriculture of Di An City achieved VND98,358 billion, VND94,953 billion, VND23.049 billion, equivalent to 100.24%-100.18%-100.2% of the annual plan. The new total budget was VND3,293.289 billion, reaching 90.33%. Total budget expenditure was VND1,413.265 billion, reaching 109.32%. On 1 Feb 2020, National Assembly Standing Committee issued a Resolution on the establishment of Di An City. Di An city is currently focusing on urban planning, basically finished adjusting the general planning of Di An urban area until 2040; to consider the adjustment of the 1/2000zoning plan of Di An and Dong Hoa wards; to approve detailed planning of urban development areas, cultural centers, physical training and sports centers, residential, commercial areas. From the beginning of this tenure, Di An City invested in 47 urban works for traffic safety with a total capital of VND64,780 billion. Currently, 43/55 city roads are invested and managed synchronously, reaching 78.18% the set target. According to the plan, mid-term public investment in the 2016-2020 period, People's Committee of Di An City has invested in 10 city roads, the total area of trees and water surface per capita is 7, 07m2. In addition, Di An City built 5 new medium and low voltage power lines, and transformer stations with a total cost of 25 billion VND.
