Under the local urban development program for the 2016-2020 period, Di An city reached certain achievements over the past years. The local urban space has been formed up with a civilized, modern and synchronoys infrastructure system.

Le Thanh Tai, Chairman of Di An city’s People’s Committee said that leaders of the city’s People’s Committee immediatedly promoted socio-technological infrastructure works right after the city’s Party Committee’s Resolution No.01 NQ/TU was issued on August 18, 2015.

Di An city gets greener, cleaner and nicers
In the 2016-2020 period, the city has paid more attention to mid-term public investment for urban infrastructure development with 165 items capitalized at more than VND1.37trillion. There are now 66 works put into operation, 39 under construction…Also during the period, the city has had a total of 57 commercial housing, apartment building projects approved by provincial People’s Committee. The figure has brought the total number of such projects to 113 of around 864.8 hectares with more than 66,000 houses, contributing to raising the local rate of housing area per person.
The city’s People’s Committee has also coordinated with sectors, departments and enterprises to make investment in key infrastructure works, namely the new Mien Dong coach station, the National University resettlement area, the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, the new Dong Nai bridge…In addition, the city has attached special importance to upgrading the local existing traffic system; put major streets into use…, step by step building up an inter-regional traffic infrastructure system. Some main works like the 6.8-hectare concentrated waste water treatment system, the T5A canal, the phase-1 Nhum stream; the drainage system of streets Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Hong Phong, Bui Thi Xuan, Tran Hung Dao, Vo Thi Sau, D1, Lo O stream, Cay Sao stream, Cay Truong stream for the phase 1…
The city has focused on compensation and site clearance for key infrastructure projects, aiming to ensure the completion of the local public investment plan as well as creating a high consensus among people. In terms of social infrastructure, the city has so far built up a synchronous pavement, vendure, lighting, water supply and drainage system…The city has also built and put parks with green trees into use, including the Ho Lang historical relic site of 34 hectares in Tan Dinh ward, the 5,000-seat standium at the city’s Sports Center for the phase 1 in Dong Hoa ward, the one-hectare vendure park on Nguyen An Ninh…
Targets fulfilled and surpassing the plan
In 2017, Di An completed a target of upgrading it into a third-class city. As of now, the city has basically met criteria of a second-class city. The city has also approved the Northeastern Binh An urban complex project, the housing project compound in Tan Hoa quarter; implemented a plan on traffic, water drainage infrastructure development under the local overal urban plan till 2040, aiming to create a synchronous infrastructure system at requirements of the local socio-economic development.
Implementing targets of the city’s Party Committee’s action program on “Development of Di An city for the 2016-2020 period, vision to 2025”, the city has so far spent more than VND475.9billion on basic construction, urban rejuvenation per year. The district’s average housing area per person has reached more than 33 square meters…
