Upon implementing government’s Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP on major measures to restrain inflation and to stabilize and ensure social security; upon implementing Directive No. 02 of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee on power saving, Di An District Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with Di An EVN to carry out program of “power saving for benefits of families and society”.
Power saving program will help reduce alternative power cut
To breathe life into the program, propagation has been intensified to enhance awareness of public people regarding power and water saving. Families are recommended to turn off unnecessary electric appliances and not to use power-consuming equipments on peak hours. They also are recommended to replace high capacity and power-saving light bulbs.
The launching of power-saving program is integrated into registration of cultural families as one of the requirements. The progam is especially part of movement of “learning and following Ho Chi Minh moral examples” which is a factor to spread out the program to public.
Di An District Fatherland Front Committee Deputy Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed that after 5 years of implementation (from May to October) the program has helped reduce 12,244kWh while people are more aware of power saving purposes; however, he pointed out that the program was only limited to 664 families in the localities which have been registered. Thus, he called for the expansion of the program.
