Vo Anh Tuan, Vice-Chairman of Di An city’s People’s Committee said that although facing difficulties, the city has been determined to fulfill growth targets under the instruction of the province. The city’s socio-economic performance in Q1, 2020 remained stable, continuing reaching growth.

In Q1, 2020, the city’s industrial manufacture, trade-services-agricultural production value was estimated at more than VND25.94trillion, more than VND31.95trillion and VND5.83billion, respectively.
Over the past time, along with realizing tasks on socio-economic development, the city has strengthened solutions against Covid-19 pandemic. Mr.Tuan said that the city has continued seriously carrying out central and provincial instructions on Covid-19 prevention and control. Noticeably, the city has made efforts in ensuring people’s health and focused on fulfilling the local tasks on socio-economic tasks for 2020.
Synchronous solutions
Di An city has concentrated on carrying out many solutions to ensure the local economic growth amid Covid-19 pandemic. One of the city’s decisive solutions for socio-economic development targets is Covid-19 prevention and control. Hence, under the instructions of the Government, provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, the city has urgently taken solutions against the pandemic in a synchronous way while instructing sectors to get ready to combat any circumstances if any.
In the coming time, the city’s People’s Committee will ask for departments, the People’s Committees of wards to further boost coordination in making public investment, especially dealing with queries in compensation and site clearance; bend on effectively realizing measures to ensure the local target on State budget collection in the first half of the year and the whole year; continue putting focus on site clearance in order to carry out public investment works in 2020 under the plan.
The city is actively coordinating with relevant units to hasten the progress of construction of projects, including town’s health center and hospital, housing area in Dong Hoa ward, the expanded My Phuoc-Tan Van street…
Mr.Tuan added that the city has rechecked a list of enterprises, business households affected by Covid-19 pandemic for timely support under the State’s policies. Particularly, the city will continue creating favorable conditions on administrative procedures, site clearance for enterprises; suggest bank branches, credit organizations to give support polices for enterprises…, helping them maintain stable growth.
In 2020, the city is expected to start construction of 5 works; check and put 6 works into use, continues realizing 29 transition works with total disbursement value estimated at more than VND34.82trillion. In the 2016-2020 period, the city carried out 151 basic construction works with total capital of more than VND1.2trillion. So far, there have been 62 works checked and put into use; 30 under construction and 59 under procedures for investment with total disbursed capital of VND633,900million or 51.82% of the plan.
