Industrial manufacture further reaching growth
According to leaders of Di An city, the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic affected all socio-economic aspects of the locality in the first months of 2020. But, with drastic solutions in Covid-19 prevention, control and economic development, the city achieved gained stable growth for some targets on economic development.

In the first half of the year, the city’s industrial production value was estimated at VND50.48trillion, up 0.93% compared to the same period last year or 46.66% of the year’s plan…
The city’s State budget collection during the period was more than VND1.65trillion, down 2.56% against the corresponding period last year or 42.50% of the year’s plan while State budget spending was more than VND608billion, up 0.77% compared to the same period or 43.19% of the year’s plan.
The city also granted and changed 922 business registration certificates to individual business households with a total registered capital of VND144billion, down 190 in number and up VND8.9billion in capital compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the city’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was estimated at more than VND50.61trillion, up 4.52% compared to the same period last year or 37.54% of the year’s plan.
Putting focus on major tasks
Along with achievements done, Di An city’s socio-economic situation has faced many obstacles in industrial manufacture, trade-services, State budget collection, investment attraction…for change.
Vo Anh Tuan, Vice-Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee said that despite the great impacts from Covid-19 pandemic, with synchronous and effective solutions, the city in the first months of the year still ensured the local targets on socio-economic development.
The city’s People’s Committee has also set some major tasks in each field in order to successfully realize the local targets on socio-economic development for the rest of the year. Particularly, the city’s People’s Committee will instruct sectors, localities to focus on taking solutions to improve the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic, recovering the local socio-economic development; continue implementing the Resolution No.1/NQ-CP of the Government, the instructions of provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee; direct the implementation of programs, plans for the Resolution of the city’s 12th Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure.
He added that the city has bent on well realizing urgent tasks, solutions to remove difficulties in production-business, ensuring social welfare. Particularly, the city has continued enhancing efficiency, effectiveness in State administration for all aspects with focus on public investment, land, natural resources…; further improved the local investment climate…
