Di An has focused on infrastructure, building up a modern and civilized urban area
Between 2010 and 2015, Di An town has upgraded 213 works on rural traffic and urban rejuvenation. This has helped the town reach 100% of roads under its management covered asphalt.
Di An town has also focused on fostering its public traffic system in association with making urban rejuvenation in Di An ward’s Thong Nhat quarter and Tan Dong Hiep ward’s Tan Long quarter towards a goal of developing Di An into a third-class city in 2015. Bus routes have continued being maintained and linked with neighboring localities, basically meeting the local people’s demand for traveling and goods transportation. Many water drainage systems have also been built and put into operation. Especially, the town now makes preparations for carrying out water drainage systems of T5B channel, Nhum stream (phase 2), Lo O stream, Mu U stream and building a waste water treatment factory. According to Mr.Hoang, Di An town is taking measures to death with areas facing partial flooding. All the efforts aim to meet the local people’s demand for daily life and production.
State administration strengthened
The whole town is now home to 74 urban and residential projects with a total area of 804.52 hectares, basically satisfying demand for accommodation of people, especially immigrants, promoting the local overall urban infrastructure and bringing total housing area herein to nearly 8,63 million square meters with the average level of 22.3 square meters per person.
The town’s State administration on urban aspect, particularly on urban construction and order has gone to stability. So far, most illegal construction cases have been discovered and penalized. The town has also basically fulfilled a task of giving or changing names to streets and granting house numbers in 5 wards, including An Binh, Di An, Dong Hoa, Binh An and Binh Thang.

According to Mr.Hoang, the town will further focus on rejuvenating spontaneous residential areas in order to grant certificates of land-use rights and ownership over houses to households under the town’s Party Committee’s Decision No.35-NQ/TU. The town will also make inspection of urban, residential area projects and suggest the province to withdraw licenses to those with slow implementation or implementation not complying with planning approved.
