Currently, Di An Rail Depot is a historical remain of revolutionary activities honored and promoted by staffs and officers of Di An Railroad One-member Co. Ltd. to be worthy as the golden name of railroad industry in Vietnam.
Growing and growing
As a large establishment of railroad construction, Di An Railroad Corporation has been gradually upgraded in terms of human resources, technology, and engineering to improve services and compete with other transportation businesses. The corporation has been promoted to fulfill its assignments to satisfy the increasing needs of the society. In the years of 2006 to 2011, aside from available equipment and machines, the corporation has purchased new equipment and machines as well as modern technology to satisfy the production and repair of train components including CNC, welding robots, hydraulic nailing machines, etc.
The foundation of innovative technology has enabled the corporation to fulfill its assignments. They have applied new production technologies including steel stretching machine, spring frequency tester with computer graphing, etc.
Aside from railroad identical products, the corporate has researched various technologies to create significant machines for various industries including machinery system of Tay Ninh cement factory, Viettel antenna tower, etc.
From 2006 to 2011, the corporate has made up 474 initiatives and technical measures to gain benefits for the State at over VND 5.9 billion.
The rational investment and innovation of technologies have brought about major achievements in creating competition ability and shorten transportation time of the trains from South to North and vice versa down to 29 hours instead of 50 hours as before. The ISO:9001-2008 quality control is also successfully applied and maintained.
The golden name
Pham Hong Phi, Secretary of Di An Railroad Party Committee cum the corporate director informed that the corporation has been well aware of environment protection as any process of the industry can include environment threats. The corporation has separated its office from factories to ensure safety regulations and arrangement. The production unit has particularly been practicing sand spraying to clean up metal works. Besides, the corporate has switched to environment-friendly fuels from coal. Thus, the corporate has been honored with national golden cup for sustainable development and the green cause of Vietnam among many other noble awrds.
Nguyen Tan Ne, Deputy Secretary of the corporate Party Committee, introduced us the renovated antique steam train trailer as the pride of the corporation in servicing tourism. The antique train trailer was no less a bunch of scraps with hint for possible metallurgy if the renovation may fail. However, the corporate staffs have succeeded in renovating the trailer and are on process of legal procedures to register for transportation.
