Di An speeds up urbanization process

After three years of the Action Program No.06-CTr/TU dated August 8, 2011 on urban development in the 2011-2015 period and vision till 2020”, Di An town has reached positive changes in urban development towards civilization and modernity.

Synchronous infrastructure

Di An town’s Party Standing Committee has instructed the local authorities at all levels to effectively implement the Action Program No.06-CTr/TU dated August 8, 2011 on urban development in the 2011-2015 period  and vision till 2020.  And the urban image of Di An is thriving towards civilized and modern development.

According to Pham Van Bay, Head of Di An town’s Commission for Propaganda and Education, the town’s economic structure is now in the right direction with the growth of trade-services, especially industries with high added value. There is also a synchronous investment in social and technological infrastructure. Besides, the town has paid attention to carrying out key works, creating a motivation for the local socio-economic development.

Many key works like the project of upgrading Ha Noi highway, the way to Dong Nai bridge, the Tan Van-My Phuoc expressway…have contributed to forming up the urban image of Di An town. The town has also attached special importance to building infrastructure in terms of electricity, water, waste treatment, environmental protection…in a synchronous way to satisfy the local people’s demand for daily life and production.

To promote trade-services, according to Mr.Bay, the town will further create favorable conditions for enterprises at home and abroad to make investment in markets, trade centers, supermarkets…The town has so far developed a modern retail sales system with supermarkets Big C, Vinatex and Dong Hoa market…

Regarding social infrastructure, there have been more than 90% of public schools built with storeys and equipped with material facilities in a synchronous way, basically meeting the local people’s demand for learning and teaching. The town’s health stations, cultural-sports centers…have also been built towards national standards, satisfying the local people’s demand for healthcare and entertainment.

“For an urban area with robust and sustainable growth in all aspects, the town’s Party Committee and People’s Committee have put forward measures and focused on taking them. Propaganda work will be further promoted to raise awareness of the local sectors, authorities at all levels and people from all strata about their responsibility in developing Di An into a civilized and modern urban area…”, Mr.Bay said.

Focusing on binding telecommunication cable

One of urban rejuvenation works being done by Di An town is to bind telecommunication cable hung on power posts.

According to Luu Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of Di An Electricity, the project is expected to be implemented from 2015 to 2018 with a total expense of around VND16bln. But, in a bid to promote the local urban rejuvenation, Di An Electricity has asked for Binh Duong Electricity under the Southern Electricity Corporation to grant investment capital to be able to implement the project in 2014.

Di An Electricity has so far bound telecommunication cable on 4 main streets, namely Tran Hung Dao, Ly Thuong Kiet, Nguyen An Ninh and Di An-Truong Tre with a total expense of nearly VND1.6bln.

Possibly speaking, the town’s project of binding telecommunication cable has received enthusiastic support from the local people. They also wanted that the project will be implemented as soon as possible…
