Implementing orientation of urban development, Di An town has focused on hastening progress of building key works in a bid to complete 2014’s set goals and plans on basic construction.

As planned, Di An town’s basic construction investment capital is in this year at VND315.579bil. As of May 28, 2014, the local authority disbursed VND147.319bil, winning nearly 47% from the same period last year. In the first half of this year, the local basic construction volume was estimated at VND203.738bil.
Le Hong Tan, director of Di An town management board said that Di An town in the first half of this year completed 8 works such as upgraded Moi road project, expanded Tan Dong Hiep-Tan Binh road project and so on. In addition, the town started as many as 11 works, involving mainly in social welfare such as Thong Nhat primary school, Binh Thang secondary school, Hoa Hong 1 pre-school, town health center, among others.
Tan also said that investment and construction of schools in Di An town are very essential. As a urban area with many industrial parks and compounds as well as trade services, Di An town has attracted a large number of laborers nationwide. This increase triggers a pressure of learning facilities for primary and kindergarten levels. Meanwhile, the town has encountered difficulties of investment capital for schooling projects. Though the locality focuses annually on investing and upgrading schools, local demand on material facilities has yet to be met. Besides, some works are complete but their projects remain slow compared with schedule.
In reality, investors of schooling projects have made greater efforts to finalize key works as scheduled. Rep of Tay Ho JSC – the contractor of Thong Nhat pre-school project in Di An ward said that the work accounts for an investment capital of nearly VND29bil. Its items were completed one month ago.
In order to complete goals and plans on basic construction in the final half of this year, Di An has set out measures of effectively using investment capital sources. According to Tan, the town strives to complete 2014’s plans and gives priorities to works under construction, among others.
Additionally, Di An town management board will cooperated also with the local Division of Accountancy-Finance and Center for Land Fund Development to adjust plans on basic construction and excel the work on basic construction investment 2015. Moreover, the town will also strengthen inspection of works, solve difficulties for contractors in an attempt to hasten progress of works as well as ensure quality and safety of labor and traffic during the building process.
