With a favorable geographical position, Di An town was selected as the first locality for Binh Duong’s industrial development. Upholding its potentials and advantages, the town has become one of the province’s localities with strongest industrial growth.

Industrial manufacture developed early
In 1995, Song Than I industrial park (IP) was set up in Di An town. This was also the first IP in Binh Duong, starting the birth and development of the province’s next Ips.
Currently, the town is home to 7 industrial parks and compounds of 828.64 hectares with a total land tenancy rate of 96.28%. They have so far absorbed 214 FDI projects with a total registered capital of VND1.367bln and 211 domestic ones with a total registered capital of VND8.094trillion.
There are also 2,240 enterprises outside the local industrial parks and compounds, contributing to generating stable jobs for more than 179,000 laborers.
Under the Resolution of the 10th local Party congress for the 2010-2015 tenure, Di An town has reached an annual growth of 16.04% in industrial manufacture value. The local industrial production value by the end of the year is estimated at VND60.897bln, up VND31.951bln compared to that of 2010.
According to the town’s Party Committee, the local economy has always reached a stable growth with all resources upheld. The local economic structure has also been shifted in the right direction that is expected to be 62.94% in industry, 37.02% in trade-services and 0.04% in agriculture by the end of the tenure.
The above result has come from the leadership of the town’s Party Committee in accordance with the Resolution of the town’s 10th Party congress. Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee have also facilitated the town’s development.
Upon its potentials and advantages, Di An town has mobilized and tapped all resources to promote the local industrial development, ensuring the set targets.
Synchronous infrastructure investment
Di An town has focused on developing infrastructure in a synchronous way. Many key infrastructure investment projects, including those of new Dong Nai bridge, My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, Ha Noi highway, DT743 street…, are being invested in the town, contributing to shaping the local urban image. This is also a driving force for the local socio-economic development.
The town has also upgraded 213 works on rural traffic and urban rejuvenation during the 2010-2015, bringing the total number of streets under the local management covered by asphalt to 48.
In addition, the town’s transportation activities have been on robust development. Many bus routes have continued being maintained, expanded and connected with neighboring localities, basically meeting the local demand for development and people’s demand for traveling…
Le Van Hoang, Chairman of Di An town’s People’s Committee said that so far, all streets managed by the town have been invested in a synchronous way. Many new residential estates plus key works have been put into use, better serving the lives of locals and absorbing investment for the local development.
With the above mentioned achievements, Di An town has become a locality of Binh Duong with industrial development finished early and quick urbanization speed. This has helped Di An reach a diversification in industries; stabilize people’ lives and ensure the local order and security, thereby facilitating the local urban development towards civilization and modernity.
