Di An ward transfers economic structure to service, industrial trend

Transfer on economic structure

Despite difficulties triggered by economic downturn, high inflation, businesses’ operation in industrial parks located at Di An ward remains stable. The ward now has more than 730 enterprises under stable operation, placing many jobs for laborers, 280 of which are inside industrial parks. Therefore, local industrial production value in the past year increased 14% against the previous year.

Despite a low density, trade and service fields in Di An ward have been in rapid growth pace. The locality now has 4,963 business households, a 16.48% increase against 2011. In addition, trade centers and supermarkets have emerged rapidly, offering plentiful items for customers. And, market control and trade fraud prevention and control have been inspected closely. Especially, since 2012, Di An ward in cooperation with the town market control team has implemented many price and market inspections.

The highlighted activities of trade and service in the ward lie in cooperative economy. The efficient cooperatives in the ward include Dong Tan Transport cooperative, Tan Di An environmental hygiene cooperative. Moreover, Di An credit fund has contributed to offer loans for local households to improve their living.

Also the same year, the fund offered loans for 1,080 turns of people with the total value of VND106bil. Until now, the fund’s total capital is up to VND124bil, VND110 of which is mobilized capital.

Sustainable development solutions

Implementing transfer on industry, trade-service development, urban development and sustainable development is the goal of Di An ward leaders. Annually, the ward strives to maintain growth pace of industrial sector at 17%, trade-service at 30-32%. Till 2015, trade-service density will account for 37% of local economic structure.

To complete the above goals, Tran Huu Luan, vice chairman of the ward People’s Committee, said “Under the instruction of Di An town administration, the ward has set out solutions of transfer on economic structure in line with industry, trade-service development. However, we will keep mobilizing all sources and appealing economic sectors to join in upgrading, improving and building trade-service infrastructure facilities with the state-of-the-art equipments and techniques. Especially, the ward will encourage and facilitate businesses’ production transfer to trade and service, especially healthcare, education, environmental hygiene, etc. in order to create a stable operation for trade and service areas, we will implement market management, price control and unreasonable price hike prevention, etc”.

Initially, to develop local economic infrastructure, the ward has focused on excelling basic construction investment, urban rejuvenation, land management and many more.

To maintain its growth pace, the ward authority has spared no efforts to excel solutions on economic structure transfer, improve local residents’ living quality.
