Despite the impacts from Covid-19 pandemic, Di An city has still fulfilled targets on economic development under the set plan since early this year. This is seen as a motivation for the city to maintain the local growth goal, completing targets on economic development of the whole year.
Since early this year, Di An city’s economic structure has been maintained in accordance with the local development orientation. Urban infrastructure development towards synchrony and modernity is considered as a major task of the city in order to develop in line with the scale of a second-class city, creating a motivation for the local sustainable development in the future.

The city’s economic growth over the past 8 months was maintained at a high level. The city’s industrial production value in August was estimated at more than VND8.43trillion. The figure over the past 8 months was more than VND66.97trillion or 61.91% of the year’s plan, up 5.15% compared to the same period last year. The city’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was estimated at more than VND 9.65trillion. The value since early this year has amounted to more than VND69.1trillion, or 51.24% of the year’s plan and up 14.82% against the same period last year.
Regarding urban development and investment, the city inaugurated and put some works, including Nguyen Thi Minh Khai high school, Tan Dong Hiep C high school, Di An theater’s park into use; started construction of 5 streets in wards of Tan Dong Hiep, Tan Binh and Di An; continued carrying out 24 works under the plan.
The city also drastically took solutions on disbursement for public investment capital and gained positive results. As of late August, more than VND170.3 from many resources was disbursed in this field…
Le Thanh Tai, Chairman of Di An city’s People’s Committee said that all the results done over the past time are the premise for the city to well realize the local targets on socio-economic development, ensuring growth and stabilizing the lives of people for the rest of the year.
