Many successful digital transformation models in enterprises have brought significant changes in labor productivity and business practices for both companies and employees. This has highlighted the role and impact of digital transformation on business and production activities.
Creating momentum for new growth
Digital transformation has become an inevitable trend for enterprises, helping enhance automation and labor productivity. Nguyen Duc Thuan, CEO of Thai Binh Investment Joint Stock Company (TBS Group) in Di An city shared that TBS has invested in and developed six main sectors on footwear, handbags, real estate investment and management, industrial infrastructure, ports and logistics, commerce and services. TBS constantly strives in its production and export processes, particularly by focusing on technological innovation, digital transformation and green transition to enable its industries to participate more deeply in the global value chain.

In addition to its large-scale growth and capacity to collaborate with major global partners, TBS Group has proactively invested in developing its digital infrastructure and has put the SAP system into operation. This is an enterprise management software that enables close monitoring of the sales process, provides data analytics for revenue tracking and supports accurate profit calculation. The software also integrates customer data collection and processing while offering a wide range of functions such as procurement management, optimization of business–supplier relationships for effective order and goods flow management, financial management, human resources management…The early investment and operation of SAP has brought high efficiency in production management, market insight, investment orientation and significantly reduced administrative costs. This system also enables seamless and real-time executive management, regardless of time or location, thereby creating a strong driving force for the company's growth.
Speaking about the effectiveness of digital transformation in his enterprise, Nguyen Thanh Lam, Director of Lam Viet Wood Joint Stock Company in Tan Uyen city said: “Our company has pursued digital transformation because we have needed tools to manage our factory operations. This transformation has brought both tangible and intangible benefits. First, we’ve reduced production costs and labor requirements. For instance, previously we needed 1,500 workers to achieve the same output — now, only 800 are needed. We've also saved on raw materials, electricity and other operational costs through digitalization. With the application of digital transformation, information connection between departments in the enterprise is connected on the basis of a unified technology system, helping problems arising in the enterprise to be resolved immediately when they occur and operations are not blocked". By participating in the digital transformation process, executives can proactively access and retrieve reports on business activities. All business activities such as employees recording sales, personnel changes, customer files researching products, etc. will be displayed on business management software, helping manage businesses more effectively and transparently.
Coordinated support for joint development
La Van Tien, CEO of WOWS Group Joint Stock Company in Tan Uyen city affirmed that digital transformation is an inevitable trend in the digital age. The main goals for businesses undertaking digital transformation are to improve competitive position, drive revenue growth, increase labor productivity, enhance customer acquisition and retention. Recently, Biình Duong province has launched many programs and policies to support enterprises in digital transformation. However, some enterprises—especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—still face challenges in applying technology to production and business activities. The first challenge is the lack of knowledge and resources. In reality, many SMEs lack complete information about digital transformation, leading to uncertainty about where to begin, how to choose appropriate technologies and how to implement them effectively. Another issue is a tendency to rush and make shortcuts in the process, resulting in inefficiency. Therefore, it is crucial to find a suitable partner that understands enterprises’ operations and can work together to find solutions and grow together.
Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, Chairwoman of Binh Duong Logistics Association stated that the association has been working with consulting firms to raise awareness of digital technology in the logistics sector. The association is implementing support initiatives and building connections to help enterprises access digital transformation. It has also continued collaborating with universities to develop human resources for logistics and digital technology, helping SMEs access and apply technologies in logistics operations.
Nguyen Thanh Lam, Director of Lam Viet Wood Joint Stock Company: “In terms of intangible value, we have positioned the business and each employee in each job when applying digital transformation processes. By effectively implementing digital transformation, we are more highly appreciated by our partners and have more orders...”.
