Developing from an agricultural locality with unfavorable conditions in terms of nature and infrastructure, Dinh Hoa ward has focused on basic construction to promote the local economic development…
Breakthrough from streets
Coming to Dinh Hoa today, no one knows that this was previously an agricultural locality. So far, 100% of streets herein have been covered by asphalt.
After being recognized as a city of class V in 2008 and being turn into the ward, Dinh Hoa has received more investment from TDM city People’s Committee for building important streets. In the 2008 and 2010 period, if other communes and wards spent around VND7bln on building rural traffic roads, Dinh Hoa reached a double figure in this field.
During the period, Dinh Hoa built 81 works on traffic and
urban rejuvenation with total length of 25.5km and total expense of VND49.5bln.
Despite public investment cut down, the ward last year built 8 roads with total
investment capital of VND14.5bln.
Once completed, Tan Van-My Phuoc highway will create a driving force for Dinh Hoa ward’s stable development
The above results have came from the efforts by the local authorities and people under the motto of “State and people work together”. Thanks to basic construction well implemented, the lives of the local people have been improved.
Basic construction investment has also contributed to promoting Dinh Hoa ward’s economic development. In 2011, the whole ward’s industry and home craft production value got a 100% growth with economic structure towards trade-service, industry and home craft-agriculture. The ward’s total State budget collection also amounted to VND15.5bln. All showed that the local economy got a boost in both quality and quantity.
Sustainable development
Nguyen Van Dau, chairman of Dinh Hoa ward People’s Committee said that the ward has received strong investment from TDM city People’s Committee in terms of basic construction and urban rejuvenation since 2008. Many effective economic models are needed to promote for the local sustainable development.
Also upon the above thought, after being turned into the ward, Dinh Hoa has immediately encouraged locals to get involved in urban agricultural development. Tens of classes about how to grow orchids for the local people over the past time. So far, this model has loomed large across the ward, helping the local people secure stable income. Many new models on industrial, service and urban development have also been developed in the ward, contributing to improving the lives of the local people.
Many key construction projects that are zoned for building in Dinh Hoa, including provincial General Hospital with 1,500 beds, will also contribute to promoting the local socio-economic development in the future.
Possibly speaking, as an agricultural locality with poor conditions for industrial and services development, Dinh Hoa has created a strong breakthrough to become a ward with favorable conditions for trade-services development.
