Early August 18, Nguyen Van Hung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee (PSC), General Director of Becamex IDC and Nguyen Hoang Chau, Member of provincial PSC, Chief of provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission had a working session with Phu Giao district’s PSC on the local industrial development.
Although being an agricultural locality, the district over the past years attached special importance to industrial development and made positive changes in the right direction with the annual average growth of 13.41%. The district’s industrial manufacture value last year was estimated at more than VND2.35billion. Industrial manufacture and construction accounted for 31.5% of the local economic structure.
The district has so far started construction of Tam Lap industrial compound with nearly 200 hectares in total while setting up a project on industrial park construction of 500 hectares, which was approved. It is expected that the district will develop 5 industrial compounds of more than 307 hectares and 1 industrial park of 1,000 hectares.
At the working session, leaders of the district put forward the local industrial development solutions and orientations in the coming time, including focusing on building infrastructure of industrial parks and compounds approved; diversifying economic parts in industrial development; further reforming administrative procedures; well realizing plans on industrial and traffic infrastructure development…
Addressing the working session, Mr.Hung spoke highly of the district’s efforts in industrial development over the past time, acknowledged the local industrial development solutions and orientations in the coming time while vowing to devise a plan and submit it to provincial People’s Committee in order to have a policy for the local effective industrial development and investment.
