Early September 21, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee cum Chairman of provincial Assessment Council for overall socio-economic development planning (photo) presided over a meeting on Bau Bang district’s draft plan on overall socio-economic development till 2025.
Under the draft plan, the district’s target on socio-economic development to 2025 is to make the shift of the local economic structure towards industry, trade-services and agriculture. The district’s annual industrial growth rate will be 18% in the period of 2016-2020; 22% in the period of 2020-2015, while agriculture and services will reach the annual growth of 5% and 23.38% in the period of 2016-2020; 4% and 24% in the period of 2020-2025, respectively. The district will also bend on clean industries, promote hi-tech agricultural models in association with processing and consumption, boost construction of markets, supermarkets and trade centers in urban areas.
After hearing ideas from members of the district’s Assessment Council for overall socio-economic development planning, Mr.Liem basically agreed with the draft plan while suggesting the district’s People’s Committee to work with relevant agencies and consulting units to soon perfect it.
