Economy of Tan Uyen Town has recently been on stable growth with strong development of industry and trade.
Plenty investors attracted
Implementing the direction of the government, Provincial People’s Committee, and Resolution of local People’s Council regarding economic development, Tan Uyen Town People’s Committee has concentrated on implementation of programs and plans to attract enterprises to come for investments. In 9 months, 25 domestic enterprises and 61 foreign enterprises have been awarded with business registration certificates in the town. Accumulatedly, Tan Uyen Town has 619 domestic enterprises of over VND 7,486 billion of capital and 363 foreign investment projects with over US$ 2.386 billion.

Currently, the investment projects have been allocated industrial parks and clusters with complete infrastructure such as Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park, Tan Uyen Industrial and Urban Zone, Tan Hiep Industrial Cluster, etc. in line with investment attraction decisions of Binh Duong Province. Investment projects into industrial sectors of the town have been in accordance with process of investment sectors required by Provincial People’s Committee with limitation of environment pollution and suitable to land use and planning of the locality.
Doan Hong Tuoi, the Deputy Chair of Tan Uyen Town People’s Committee, said that before Tan Uyen District was separated into Tan Uyen Town and Bac Tan Uyen District up to date, the town has 2 industrial parks and 3 industrial zones covering about 1,900 ha and zones of concentrated industrial development in wards of Uyen Hung, Tan Phuoc Khanh, etc. From the beginning of the year, companies have locally offered jobs to over 5,980 laborers in and outside the province, contributing greatly to local budget collection.
Towards modernity and civilization
Currently, Tan Uyen Town emerged with urban landscape and architecture to create beautiful appearance of the urban zones to attract urban development investment projects. Besides, the town has 20 residential and resettlement zones covering 562 ha approved with 1/500 scale detail planning including 11 commercial residential areas with complete infrastructure for use.
Pham Thi Mai, a merchant of Uyen Hung Market at Uyen Hung Ward, said that buyers have been delight for its establishment to facilitate businesses. The security sector of the market place has particularly organized to assure buyers and merchants.
The investments into economic and technical infrastructure have also been focused on by Tan Uyen Town, particularly on constructions of breakthrough to facilitate socio-economic development.
Up to date, 98.48% of DH streets have been asphalted and 100% of DX roads solidified. Besides, major traffic constructions have been developed by the province including Bach Dang Bridge, Thanh Hoi Bridge, Thanh Phuoc Port, etc. to connect road and waterway transportation, connecting urban areas to rural areas, contributing to better travelling and transportation of the locality and public.
In Tan Uyen Town, 4 eco-tourism zones have been approved with investments including Mekong Golf & Villas in Bach Dang Commune and Ho Nam Resort in Thai Hoa Ward have been put into use to partially satisfy the touring and recreational needs of the public. Another advantage of trade and service development of the town includes the development of commercial centers and rural markets in accordance with the planning; commercial centers at 2 wards of Uyen Hung and Tan Phuoc Khanh have been completed and put into use some of the items.
