In 2014, My Phuoc Industrial Parks (Ips) invested by Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) have continued reaching positive results in investment attraction with many projects granted investment licenses and factories put into operation.

Southern Industry Rubber Corp (Casumina) has put into operation the steel-truck tire manufacturing plant (Casumina Radial Factory) located in Uyen Hung ward, Tan Uyen town, Binh Duong province. Attending the opening ceremony were deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Van Nam and leaders of ministries, agencies and localities.

More than 200 local and foreign companies are participating in the Southeastern Region Industry and Trade Fair & Exhibition 2014 which got underway in Phan Thiet city, the southern Binh Thuan province on April 17.

According to the Association of Viet Nam Retailers (AVR), Viet Nam has 130 trading centres, 700 supermarkets and over 1,000 convenient shops developed by local and foreign firms, including 21 wholly-foreign invested firms, reports Dien dan Doanh nghiep newspaper.

There are now 99 households in Dau Tieng district registering to raise 14 wild animal species, including tibetan bear, crocodile, varan, tortoise, cross-bred wild boar, porcupine…, with a total of 8,628 animals.

Although facing difficulties because of bad weather and epidemic diseases, Binh Duong’s agricultural sector in Q1 2014 still reaped encouraging results. This contributed to orient and advocate the local farmers to promote production, sci-tech transfer, new rural construction…

In Q1 2014, province-based banking system continued being expanded. According to statistics by the State Bank of Vietnam-Binh Duong Branch, the whole province is now home to 65 credit organizations, up 3 compared to 2013, 10 people’s credit funds and 11 transaction offices.

In Q1 2014, province-based industrial parks (Ips) continued taking fruits with investment attraction, revenue…reaching a strong growth compared to the corresponding period last year. This shows that the province’s policy calling for investment into Ips towards sustainable industrial development has upheld its efficiency and reached a high consensus among enterprises.
