Economy further reaches stable growth

In the first 7 months of 2020, along with ensuring targets on socio-economic development, Tan Uyen town made efforts in supporting enterprises to surmount difficulties in order to maintain production, ensuring the local social welfare.

Targets surpassing plan

Since early this year, Tan Uyen town gained positive results in socio-economic development amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic. The town’s industrial production value was estimated at VND10.36trillion, up 5.5% compared to the same period last year. The town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was more than VND5.98trillion, up 14.78% against the corresponding period last year. The town’s goods market was very abundant with stable prices, ensuring the local people’s demand for shopping, especially amid Covid-19 pandemic.

Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee said that the above results came from the efforts by authorities at all levels and people. But, the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected enterprises ‘production-business and activities ensuring the local social welfare.

In the face of the current difficult situation, the town’s People’s Committee has instructed sectors, the People’s Committees of communes, wards to recheck a list of enterprises facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic, for timely support under the Government’s Resolution No.42/NQ-CP. Over the past time, the local sectors and authorities at all levels also opportunely mobilized resources to take care of needy people while dealing with issues on labor, employment. So far, they have made great efforts in grasping information and settling support policies for laborers.

Timely support

In terms of practical support solutions, Mr.Tuoi said that the town’s People’s Committee has conducted sectors, the People’s Committees of communes, wards to coordinate with the local Tax Sub-Department to strengthen dissemination of information about tax reduction under the Government’s Resolution No.84/NQ-CP dated May 29, 2020 on tasks and solutions to continue removing difficulties for production and business, promoting disbursement of public investment and ensuring social order and safety in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Particularly, the town’s relevant sectors have implemented the Government’s Decree No. 70/2020/ND-CP dated June 28, 2020 on providing the registration fee rates for domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles until the end of December 31, 2020; made a 15% reduction of land rent of 2020 for organizations, individuals affected by Covid-19 pandemic; applied a 30% cut in corporate tax in this year for domestic businesses hurt by Covid-19 pandemic, including small and micro-sized companies; carried out the Resolution No.954/2020/UBTVQH14 dated June 2, 2020 on adjustment of the reduction based on family circumstances for personal income tax…

In the coming time, along with economic development, the town will continue seriously realizing Covid-19 prevention and control in the new context. The town will also further grasp enterprises ’operations as well as lives of people from all strata for timely support under the instruction of the Government.
