In the first half of
2013, provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) well coordinated with
sectors and mass organizations to organize many substantial activities in
response to the Government’s electricity saving policy among people from all
strata.

Provincial DoIT over time sped up dissemination of information about saving electricity by many forms. Particularly, provincial DoIT and other functional sectors took measures on energy saving for province-based enterprises; mobilized organizations and individuals to take part in the 2013 “Earth Hour” campaign with 182 participating agencies and units and 38,250 kWh electricity saved…
Possibly speaking, thanks to the local functional sectors’ good coordination in education and propaganda of electricity saving, many measures in technical and business management implemented together with technical improvement, the province saw considerable increase in the output of electricity saved.
The province in the first half of 2013 saved 72,276,064 kWh electricity or 54.19% of the projection. Of the total figure, electricity saving from trade-services reached over 48.5 million kWh; manufacturing enterprises saved more than 17.51 million kWh… According to provincial DoIT, thanks to electricity saving improved, the province’s electricity output for industrial manufacture has so far increased by 10.78%...
To continue ensuring stable electricity supply and saving, provincial Steering Committee of Electricity Supply and Saving will further team up with Binh Duong Electricity Company to implement many programs, namely “Cultural hamlet with electricity saving”, “Quarter with electricity saving”…
Provincial DoIT will also further realize a cooperation program between Binh Duong Electricity Company and the local five mass organizations in the tasks of propagandizing and mobilizing people from all strata to save electricity, use energy-saving equipment such as compact lights, LED lights, solar energy-using equipment…
