For the International Fair of Vietnamese Handicrafts and Gifts - Life Style 2017, the center has supported the delegation of 12 enterprises under the Ceramics Association to participate in the general booth with an area of 288m2. The participation in fairs has helped popularize the local specialties of ceramics, lacquer and many more to the markets at home and abroad. In addition, the enterprises have also sold more products to gain over VND 400 million along with 3 sales contracts of USD 230,000 and 2 contracts to open goods distribution agents in provinces.
Efforts of departments and enterprises needed
In addition to the achieved results, the record shows that the product categories at some fairs are not diversified and rich while packaging and design are not eye-catching and are insufficient of product information. Along with that, the promotion has been limited and many businesses have not focused on building their own brands to attract more customers.
Dung said that in order to further promote the trade promotion program, in the near future, the provincial Trade Promotion Center will step up the mobilization of enterprises to participate in trade promotion programs in the country in order to help them expand the market share and promote their products. As for the trade promotion program abroad, the center will continue to closely coordinate with the trade associations to better promote the image of Binh Duong and local major products such as wood, ceramics, textiles, leather shoes, lacquer etc. to customers at large and prestigious fairs and exhibitions in and outside the country.
In addition, businesses and traders participating in the fairs and marketplaces need to achieve higher efficiency and improve the quality of their products by diversifying production according to the needs and tastes of customers. To do this, close coordination among related sectors is needed along with besides the endeavors of enterprises.
