Adequate supply of commodities
Provincial price stabilization program 2019 will focus on supplying essential commodities like rice, sugar, cooking oil, seasoning powder, fish sauce, meat, confectionary, soft drink…to the local people. Tong Khanh Van, Deputy Director of Co.opmart Binh Duong 1 supermarket said that under provincial price stabilization program 2019, Saigon Co.op supermarket chain is expected to supply more than 150,000 tons of commodities worth more than VND3trillion to customers before, during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019, up 10% compared to the previous year. Whilst, according to Bo Quoc Trung, Head of Citymart-Aeon supermarket said that realizing the significance of the province, the supermarket has always planed to stockpile commodities at people’s shopping demand for Tet, contributing to promoting the program. Good coordination for price stabilization program
Ho Van Binh, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade said that provincial price stabilization program for essential commodities has won customers’ faith as it has well met their practical needs.
To further uphold achievements done and strengthen the efficiency of the provincial price stabilization program in 2019 and in the following years, provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) will continue mobilizing more businesses to get involved in the program by organizing mobile goods selling points or taking part in joyful market-days of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas.
Provincial DoIT will also team up with relevant agencies, the People’s Committees of districts, towns, TDM city and participating businesses to inspect the implementation of provincial plan on price stabilization in 2019, preventing virtual scarcity of commodities and price shocks.
In addition, provincial DoIT will further instruct provincial Center for Trade Investment Promotion and Industrial Development to effectively organize market-days of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas; ask for units to hold mobile goods selling points with focus on quality; pay attention to make dissemination of information about good selling points with stabilized price via the mass media…
It is known that provincial price stabilization program 2019 for essential commodities like rice, sugar, seasoning powder, fish sauce, soft drink, confectionary, petrol-oil, medicine…has a total value of more than VND2.07trillion with 12 participating enterprises. Of the total figure, more than VND1.26trillion will be the value of essential commodities (not including petrol-oil and medicine) launched during, before and after the Tet festival 2019.
